Tanzania Migration Safari

6 Day Itinerary: Arusha - Serengeti - Ngorongoro Parks. This was one of the best trips we have ever made as a family. Mary was extremely helpful and flexible to rearrange our schedule multiple times as flights cancellations and new COVID restrictions were implemented just during our trip. Just before we heading to Serengeti a new PCR Test requirement was announced to make our connection back to USA, but quickly we got all the support and guidance to get the tests ready just on time for our departure flight. Baraza was our guide and was one of the most knowledgeable wildlife guides I have ever met, he was extremely kind, very funny and clearly knew where find all the animals and how to maximize our experience. I definitely would recommend this company if you want to have a custom safari in Tanzania.

STOP RIGHT HERE. Alaitol Safaris was amazing. We were worried because we couldn't tell one supplier from another, and Alaitol Safaris was affordable, making us somewhat suspicious. We were reassured as soon as we started working with them. They were very prompt with replies, and seemed to know the terrain very well. When I emailed them, I usually got a response back within hours, if not minutes. Mary was super helpful. The owners were available by phone whenever needed. They were accurate and precise. Their prices were great compared to what the resort wanted to charge for game drives. On the trip, everything went extremely well. They were incredibly well organized. We did 5 days of Safari in Serengeti and, Ngorongoro crater", and another four day hike from Empakai Crater to Ol Donyo Langai, with a chef, a Masai guide, and two people to help transport the supplies by donkey. We had asked for something unique with a multi-day trek, and they came through. Everything went super smoothly. We felt safe. They were trustworthy. Our guide, Fred was perfect- way more than we could have imagined. He was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. More than this, he was organized, reliable, and extremely hard working. We thought we'd only be able to do a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon of game driving, like hotels had offered. No way. We were out by 8 am and did 9 to 10 hour game drives, at his offering! He was so good at spotting the animals, and we learned so much about each of them. He was very familiar with the parks, and very persistent at finding wildlife. We had a great time with picnic lunches in the Serengeti plains. We always had cold beverages at the ready. The vehicle was in great condition. We could not have been happier. Highly recommend asking for Fred. Everything went according to plan for our 4 day hike. Yusuph was a great chef- always paying attention to our specific (vegan) dietary needs, very organized, and had everything under control, even when we got washed out by the rain one day. His staff were also very pleasant and hard working, doing their best to corral the donkeys to cooperate. Our guide, Alex, was very good. He knew all the locals in the Masai villages we passed. The experience was way more authentic compared to villages you go through at tourist stops. The tents and equipment (including our own fresh full sized pillows) were in fine condition. All in all, we had an adventure of a lifetime and would definitely recommendAlaitol Safaris."

I had a 6-day safari, booking Alaitol on a recommendation from a friend. Mary was great and responsive with helping me plan my tour and my guide was amazing at spotting animals even before the other jeeps! I saw the big 5 while I was there along with the migration! The Serengeti lived up to my expectations! I also want to mention I was there in the rainy season and the roads were flooded and treacherous. My guide handled the roads like he's been driving them since he was born. The Land Cruser also handled well, but I give major props to my guide who navigated some places I didn't think we could get through. I would book this company again!

Like many animal lovers out there safari holiday has been a dream of mine since the film Out of Africa was released in 1986. My husband and I were considering on going to either Kenya or South Africa to celebrate our special occasion in Safari style until we've spoken to some people who recently went to Tanzania highly recommended this country in East Africa to us for its friendliness, safety and wonderful wildlife. Now we have done it too with Alaitol Safari Tanzania, I can honestly say it has been a treat, a delight, a wonderful holiday I wish that I have done it earlier and certainly we would like to do it again in the future. After a long and careful study for what we would like to do and include in our 6-day Safari tour, we decided to go with Alaitol Safari and the safari tour Specialist Tour Hub who has such a can-do and will-do positive attitude and understanding all that made us feeling assured and very welcomed during the entire process so to whom we were/still are very thankful for all of her advice and assistance before and during our staying in Tanzania main land (and later in the Zanzibar. ) We opted for comfort accommodations during our safari tour so Tour Hub arranged for us to stay in Tortilis Camps where we absolutely loved it - the staff, the food, the service and all the settings around the camps were a delightful Tanzanian treat. I am sure there are lots of safari accommodation options available depends on one's personal preference and budgets, but for us, I must say staying at Tortillis have made us falling in love with Tanzanian hospitality, culture and people even more. Last but certainly not the least, my husband and I genuinely believed that Tour Hub assigned the best and the most experienced Driver Guide available - Fred to be our safari tour Guide! We have nothing but high opinions towards to Fred, he is an open-minded, well spoken, well-mannered, a joy to be around, he has a great sense of humour, knowledge of Africa and every aspects of Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks and more....., so our first-time Safari experience has been an unforgettable one largely down to his great efforts that's for sure. Finally I would also like to seize this opportunity to say many thanks to everyone who works for Tanzania tourism industry that we came across this time, you all have made our stay so easy and enjoyable and helped us to create so much sweet memories that we will always treasure. Alaitol Safaris did an amazing job planning our 6 days Tanzania Migration safari. Everything was perfect! The accommodation was good value for the money we paid, the food was really good (specially the dinner we had at villa Maua Arusha) and our guide (Karato) was incredible! He went above and beyond to make sure our experience is unforgettable. He gave us a lot of information about different animals and he constantly checked with us that we are happy with the safari schedule. The communication with Alaitol Safaris was great! They always replay very fast at emails and their english is irreproachable. I really enjoyed the fact that they customised the safari to meet all our requirements. Flexibility is always nice, especially in these hard times with the pandemic. At the end of the safari, the founders of the company came to meet us and asked us about our experience and feedback in order to improve their services. There was not much to say since everything was perfect, but I find it very lovely that they took the time to come and meet with us when our adventure was over.

Sincerely, everything was perfect: from the booking and admin stuff (managed very efficiently by Abel) to the Safari experience (amazing accomodations in a luxury pack and great selection of parks to see different animals and landscapes) and, the most important, our guide Onesmo, who did his best to make sure that we could see all types of animals and answered all our questions showing a very good knowledge of the area and its animals. He was really friendly and we had a great time together. We have also met other guides and customers travelling with the same agency and I am sure that our is not an isolated case. Totally recommended to ensure a great experience in an amazing place.

Every lodge and tented camp he selected was fantastic, providing us with some of the best accommodations we've ever experienced. Before our trip, Mary, another member of the Alaitol Safaris team, ensured everything was perfectly prepared. She provided detailed pre-trip guidance and double-checked every detail to make sure our journey went smoothly. Her thoroughness gave us great peace of mind. During the trip, we celebrated my husband’s birthday. I had asked abel to arrange a birthday cake in advance, and the lodge surprised us with an extraordinary celebration during dinner. It was a magical and unforgettable night! Our guide and driver, Eliya, was exceptional. He encouraged us to ask questions and learn about Tanzania’s wildlife, nature, and culture, which made the trip both educational and engaging. His sharp eye for spotting animals was amazing—we saw countless lions and the Big Five, along with a variety of wildlife. On the final day, Eliya’s advice to arrive 3 hours early at Kilimanjaro Airport was exactly right. Because the process at the airport was super slow. We highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a seamless and memorable safari in Tanzania!
