What about tipping in India?
Although tipping in India is not compulsory, doing so is a nice gesture. In some circumstances, a small tip is expected. The rules of etiquette for gratuity in India are a little muddled as a colonial past, tourism, and cultural influences clash. We do recommend tipping at various instances, but tip higher only when you are very happy with the service. Tip can given after completion of the services from 5$, 10$ or more as per your choice and depending on how much satisfied & happy you are with the service provider.
Standard tipping that travelers provide to different service providers:
Pickup & Drop - 2$ to 10$
Waiters -1$ to 5$
Drivers - 5$ to 10$
Managers & Tour Guides - 10$ to 50$ or it totally depends on you

Further please let us know at the time of booking and we’ll arrange your tour accordingly.
Do you operate a “single share” option and how does it work?
No, we do not. As a solo traveler, you have to pay single supplement charges. If the Single price is not shown, please enquire for details.
Do I need medical/travel insurance?
Yes. It is strongly recommended to buy a comprehensive medical/travel insurance in advance from your country before traveling to India.

Central India Wildlife Tour
17-Apr-24
I had to cancel the tour for personal reasons. This review is in praise of the thoughtful and understanding treatment that I received from Sunil at Alkof. He spend a lot of time explaining everything to me before and booked. Then, when I had to cancel, he was sympathetic and refunded my deposit. I've travelled a great deal and there are many tour operators who are untrustworthy. Alkof has shown itself to be honest and reliable.

Taj Temples and Tigers India Tour
11-Jan-23
I had a fantastic time in India. Everything was very well planned and organised. I managed to see the tigers but also so much more. I had two different drivers during my stay and a separate tour guide in each city I visited. I would highly recommend visiting India with Alkof Holidays.

Excellent tour
16-Apr-23
Excellent tour, all the staff were always concerned about our safety and comfort. The guides were very helpful in getting to know each place, especially the guide from Jaipur whose English was very good and adapted according to our interests. The attention and assistance of the driver was key to having a good experience, Nandu always worried about us until the last day. I suggest they could have more restaurant options for each location, since the quality in some of them was not very good (Agra and Jaipur). But overall we had a very good experience. We are very grateful for the service received.

India Tiger Tour with Mumbai
21-Mar-23
Wow - in a word! Action packed with adventure. We thoroughly enjoyed the six half-day safaris over 5 days but would suggest this tour is best suited to the active and adventurous types. There was a lot of distance covered both within three national parks and along the treacherous roads in-between. We were fortunate to have been provided with an excellent driver who was equal to the many challenges. A nice touch was the superbly guided tour of Mumbai on our first day in India providing a good grounding into the history and culture if India whilst offering a brief opportunity to recover from our long journey from Australia. We have already booked our next tour! Thanks to everyone involved.
