Trek through the dense forests of Shivapuri National Park, visit mountain villages, and take in views of the snow-capped Himalayas along the way. Enjoy a unique 3-day trek of the Kathmandu Valley, hiking the lush landscape of the Shivapuri National Park. Walk through dense forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron. Watch the sunrise over Nargarkot, marvel at the terraces en route to the temple of Changu Narayan, sleep in lodge or mountain teahouse accommodation, and get the most breathtaking vista of the Himalayas, stretching from Dhaulagiri past Everest to Kanchenjunga.

Day 1 : Drive to Sundarijal and Trek to Chisapani

Location: Sundarijal

Accommodation: Hotel, Basic Guest House Today

Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner

Meet the group in central Kathmandu for the private transfer to Sundarijal. Embark on the 4.5-hour trek to Chisapani (7,545 ft/2,300 m) and enjoy views of the surrounding jagged peaks from Shivapuri National Park. Along the way, pass through the village of Mulkharka, home to the Tamang people. Overnight in lodge.

Day 2 : Trek to Nagarkot

Location: Nagarkot

Accommodation: Hotel, 3* accommodation

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Trek 2.5 hours to Chauki Bhanjag where the group will pause for lunch with the snow-capped mountains as the backdrop. In the afternoon, descend 3 hours to Nagarkot, where on a clear day you can see the Himalayas stretching from Dhaulagiri in the West all the way past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the East. Overnight in hotel.

Day 3 : Trek to Chagunarayan and Drive to Kathmandu

Location: Kathmandu

Accommodation: Hotel, 3* accommodation

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Trek 3.5 hours to Changunarayan. The most popular walk around Kathmandu, this route leads down from Nagarkot along a ridge to Changu Narayan Temple. Built in 323 AD by King Hari Datta Varma, Changu Narayan is richly decorate with sculptures and carvings and is said to be the oldest temple in the valley. From the temple, take in views of the village of Sankhu and the Bhaktapur area. In the afternoon, the group travels by private transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. Enjoy a farewell dinner with the group

Mr. Sujan and the Alpine Himalaya team have been excellent to deal with. Sujan is excellent at trip planning and made us an amazing itinerary for the Annapurna circuit and activities in Pokhara like paragliding, bungee, & zip line. He also organised a cake for my birthday🎂. We completed Annapurna circuit with our guide Pemba Sherpa and porter Dawa Sherpa they were amazing. Pemba sherpa was very kind, professional, and took such great care of us. He really took the time to teach us about the culture in the mountains and shared details about the landscape. I really felt privileged to be able to walk the circuit with him. Thank you again Alpine club of Himalaya and the team for the wonderful experience.

Just returned to Seoul after 14day Annapurna sanctuary trek. The trekking was fantastic and Sujan well organized everything for us and we could enjoy the trekking. It was once in a life time experience for me and Sujan arranged experienced sherpa and porter who made our trekking more enjoyable. I am 70 and worried about this challenging trekking and Sujan said to me that “age is only a number” and he helped me to do this trekking. Sujan is a really professional who can make the trekking more enjoyable and safe. I found that his main concern was customers’ safety and satisfaction. I definitely return to Nepal for next trip and thanks Sujan and Pasang our sherpa.

We recently trekked the Manaslu circuit over 11 days with Alpine Club of Himalaya. Pemba and Karma were excellent as guide and porter, respectively. This is the second time we have used Alpine Club of Himalaya and loved our experience again. The first trek was the Annapurna Circuit Trek and included experiencing Dashain during the trek. This recent trek we experienced Tibetan culture. Sujan is an excellent host, responsive, and attends to fine details. He and the team care about your well being and treat you like family. The trip was amazing, well worth taking. It was very well organised, the company even provided sleeping bags and duffel jackets which came in handy when it snowed at basecamp. Our guide and porter were knowledgeable and friendly, we were in excellent hands with them. If you’re considering a trek that isn’t too long but has excellent views nonetheless, go on this one.
