Tour Overview

Embark on a luxurious multi-day journey through Sicily, where wine, food, and relaxation come together for an unforgettable experience. Explore five distinctive wine regions—Marsala, Sambuca di Sicilia, Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Siracusa, and Etna—and visit towns such as Marsala, Agrigento, Modica, Ragusa, Noto, Siracusa, Catania, and Taormina, guided by expert local guides. Sicily, the largest of the Italian islands, is separated from the mainland and surrounded by the Ionian, Tyrrhenian, and Mediterranean Seas. Known as a pearl of Southern Italy, Sicily reveals its beauty through a variety of itineraries that showcase its wine, history, and traditions. The island's vibrant culture and warmth are reflected in its cuisine, which tells the story of the Sicilian passion for genuine flavors. Begin with an array of appetizers, from arancini (rice croquettes) to cazzilli and crispeddi. End your meals with Sicily’s famous pastries, often made with ricotta cheese and almond paste, which are not to be missed. Many Sicilian products are protected by DOP and IGT quality marks, underscoring their excellence. Sicily is central to the Mediterranean diet, known worldwide for the purity of its ingredients. Highlights include extra-virgin olive oil, Pachino tomatoes, Pantelleria capers, prickly pears, and the prized Nocellara del Belice olives. The island’s cheeses, sausages, and various types of crispy bread add to its culinary richness. Sicilian wine is exquisite—strong, full-bodied, and perfectly paired with its unparalleled cuisine. The region's vineyards produce wines that reflect the soul of Sicily, combining tradition with quality. Sicily also enchants with its archaeological treasures that tell the story of Trinacria, the island’s ancient name. Visitors seeking breathtaking landscapes can explore the protected reserves and natural parks around Mount Etna. The island boasts several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the archaeological area of Agrigento, a key city of Magna Graecia. The Valley of the Temples, surrounded by olive groves, almond trees, citrus orchards, and vineyards, is a must-see. Other highlights include the Late Baroque cities of the Noto Valley, the Necropolis of Pantalica in Syracuse, the Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina, and the enchanting village of Taormina, where every corner captivates the eyes, spirit, and imagination. On our Sicily Angel Wine Experiences, an expert guide and sommelier will lead you through Sicily’s most fascinating sights. Enjoy VIP wine tastings in Marsala at premium and boutique estates, as well as in other renowned wine regions like Etna, Cerasuolo di Vittoria, and Sambuca di Sicilia. These exclusive experiences, departing from Palermo or Catania, are designed for food and wine lovers seeking luxury and La Dolce Vita. Great company! I called them to ask for a customized private wine tour in the Chianti wine region and with no hesitation they delivered! We not only got to book a driver but he was also a qualified sommelier that shared great stories during the day. Overall great service for the buck! Thank you for probably the best tour ever!

We were so fortunate to find Angel and Enotropea Tours to fully immerse ourselves in Chianti Castles history and its extraordinary wines. Angel secured us by private car from our Hotel in Florence. We visited Castello di Meleto, Castello di Ama with a superb lunch pair with our wines and Castello di Monsanto. The history and the wines were memorable and a once in lifetime intimate tasting experience with the owner of the winery and Angel. Then, our day concluded with a visit a real castle in the middle of Chianti Classico area overlooking the beautiful vistas. Angel is very passionate and knowledgeable about the history and the wines. What a love and appreciation we now have for the Chianti Classico region and the wines because of our new friend Angel! We are looking forward to a future tour with Enotropea and hope to see Angel again soon.

I have done multiple wine tours in Tuscany, and this one was by far the best. Angel went above and beyond to make sure we had such a unique experience. My friend and I learned so much about wine, and how it pairs with food. Also, the food was exceptional. Obviously the wine was amazing as well. You can tell how passionate Angel is, and he makes the tour personable and educational. I will definitely book another tour with Enotropea when I get the chance to return to Italy.
