Tour Overview
Chitwan Jungle Safari’ is the most famous Jungle Safari Tour all across Nepal. The tour takes you deep inside the Chitwan National Park, a preserved area in the Terai Lowlands of south-central Nepal known for its biodiversity. Its dense forests and grassy plains are home to rare mammals like one-horned rhinos and Royal Bengal tigers. The park also shelters numerous species of birds, including the giant hornbill. Other wild animals here include deers, gharial (Gavialis gangeticus), leopards and sloth bear among others.
The first day of the tour begins with a 5-6 hours bus ride from Kathmandu to Chitwan. After your arrival in Chitwan you will be provided with some time to rest and freshen up before your lunch. Later in the afternoon you will be taken to a tour around the ethnic Tharu village and explore their cultures. You will then be enjoying the evening with a beautiful sunset and Tharu cultural program.
The next day begins with a dugout canoe for traversing the northern Rapti River, a home to crocodiles. Jungle walk hereafter will take you to the Elephant Breeding Center, a government funded center established to protect the endangered elephants in the region.
The deep jungle safari then begins later in the afternoon with either an elephant ride or a jeep ride inside the Chitwan National Park. The safari allows you to a possible sighting of Royal Bengal Tiger, wild bear and one horned rhino. On your way you will also be passing through Gharial Breeding Center, another government funded center established in 1978 to protect the natural egg laying sites of gharials to hatch eggs in artificial conditions. The trekking experience was very good. We did it during monsoon time, although there are some rains but the it makes the scenery more green and vibrant. Trails are very challenging but rewarding at the end. However, since our guide "RAJ TAMANG" is very knowledgeable and patient with me, he makes my trekking experience one of a kind and memorable, he also take care of me from good selection of tea houses and best food.

I had the best experience doing the Annapurna Base Camp trek with Pratip (our guide) and Raju (our porter).
They were full of information about the mountains, the place, the Nepali culture, and very friendly too.
They made sure we were safe at all time while helping us if needed (thank god for those extra blankets!)

Excellent tour, views were just amazingly beautiful, was lucky weather was clear, be prepared that the windows on the flight were not exactly catered for photographers, but jaw dropping nonetheless to see the mountain ranges. Staff are resourceful and greatly assisted when I was careless enough to have forgotten to bring a picture ID for my mountain flight. After the flight and breakfast back in hotel, a good full day to see all the must see sites in Kathmandu (4 UNESCO sights all together). If you have only limited time in Kathmandu and want to make the most out of it in one day, this is the tour to go for.
