Day 1 : To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:

On this day, you will wake up early & have breakfast then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while enjoying a scenic drive that allows you to view the beautiful & varied country side. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda on the rim of the Rift Valley. More notably, this “impenetrable forest” protects an predictable 320 population of Mountain Gorillas – approximately half of the population in the world, among which are a number of habituated groups, that can be tracked by visitors. Bwindi is habitat to more than half the world’s population of Mountain Gorillas.

You will arrive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening & check in to Rushaga Gorilla Lodge for your dinner & overnight stay.

Day 2 : Mountain Gorillas Tracking & Batwa Community Visit or Canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi:

After your breakfast, you will hike to the Park headquarters just meters from the Lodge for briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority guides before transferring to the starting point for Mountain Gorillas tracking. Your tracking experience will be an exciting, yet challenging, journey along forested slopes, tangled vines, thick vegetation & bamboo forests before you reach the territory of these gentle giants. The visit will give you a glimpse into the life of a Mountain Gorilla family & if you are lucky enough to gaze into the eyes of a Mountain Gorilla. Visiting Mountain Gorillas will take you 3 hours to a full day trek through the forest since Mountain Gorillas move from one place to another every day looking for food & water.

After Gorillas tracking, you will choose to either go for Canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi or visit the Batwa Community for them to take you through their traditions like traditional dance, beer making, setting fire before checking in to Bunyonyi Safaris Resort for dinner & overnight stay.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + drinking water are included.

Day 3 : Equator Experience & Departure:

Location: Entebbe

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

You will enjoy your last sunrise and breakfast in this beautiful corner of Uganda before your guide drives you across the beautiful sceneries back to Entebbe. You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departure time with a stopover at the Equator Monument for an equator experience and photo moments.

Please make sure your flight departure is after 6 pm at the very earliest. For flights departing before 6 pm, you will need an extra night in Entebbe, which we can help arrange for you at an additional cost.

Please note: You can also choose an alternative departure route (at an additional cost), or fly to Entebbe.

My husband and I just returned from a 9-day trip to Uganda, and we certainly wish we had more time. The country and the people are beautiful but what made the trip even more enjoyable for us was our tour guide Edie from Ecovic Tours. He is very knowledgeable, accommodating and has a great sunny personality! Since this is our first trip, we relied a lot on Edie's expertise on how to best spend our short stay and what the local customs are. Overall, it was quite an enriching experience which wouldn't have been possible if we didn't have an excellent guide like Edie. We are also very pleased with the sales team, particularly Vincent who has assisted us with the planning of the trip. We wanted to see many places in a limited amount of time, but Vincent was able to create an itinerary for us that suited what we wanted and packed it with some of the most exciting activities possible given our short stay... My tour guide was named Frank he was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the entire country and would answer every question that I had without it hesitation, and it did not sound like he was making it up he knew his stuff any new everything about this safari and how to find animals and where to find animals, and it was a very fun experience hanging out with him for about 7 days. Frank also drives very safely and knows how to make sure that you're taken care of and that the people take care of you while you are in his custody. We communicated with five different operators and chose Ecovic Tours because of Vincent's quick response and him interest in the purpose of our trip (celebrating our 30th anniversary!). He helped us book able five day Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen, and Mgahinga National Parks Safari in Uganda. There were many choices, but he helped us enjoy in what we really wanted. The safaris we went on every day were phenomenal! There were a variety of activities including; Golden monkeys, Gorillas, top of the falls walk, boat cruises, chimpanzees tracking, guided walk in nature among others. Everything we did was awe-inspiring; we saw the big 5 within the first 3 hours of our game drive at Murchison Falls National Park AND enjoyed chimpanzees tracking at Kibale National Park that ended up being a private adventure! Vincent was an absolute delight to deal with. From the first phone call he was extremely polite, professional and very eager to facilitate my requests regarding our safari. Our 11 nights in Uganda was very nice and fabulous and Murchison Falls was very nice also. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, we were met by our guide from Ecovic Tours for our transfer to the Lodge where we were welcomed by very warm and friendly people who were more than eager to impart their local knowledge on us. The game drives, boat safaris, chimpanzee tracking and mountain gorillas tracking, golden monkeys viewing were some of the best we encountered during this safari. Time has been difficult for everyone during this Covid Pandemic, but it was good to know that in the middle of chaos and confusions I had Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda, to hold my hand all the way with my travel plans, and they were willing to make adjustments based on the circusmtances that rise during these time. I spend a total of 7 days with the team traveling to what it has been a fantastic experience visiting National Parks in Uganda. Not only the fact they took care of my needs but as a solo traveler it was great to have Guide Dennis as my companion, and we had such a great time Touring, and he became my shopping and photographer partner.
