You will have a brief visit to Nice to take in the Promenade des Anglais after a sumptuous breakfast. This well-known seaside boulevard was named after the many English visitors to the city in the 1800s. It was constructed in the nineteenth century.
After that, you'll keep on to Saint Maxime, a picturesque little seaside town where you may explore the harbor and historic center, where the 16th-century "Square Tower" is a prominent landmark. Saint Tropez, where you may see some of the world's most opulent yachts in its historic fishing harbor, is reached by sea from there after a tourist boat crosses the picturesque bay. It is time to pack a picnic and go for a stroll.
The second city in France, Marseille, is where you'll continue your journey. Its cultural richness, old harbor, and long history have made it the capital of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

The next stop is Les Beaux, a charming little mediaeval village that you may explore at your own pace. While there, you can also see the entrance to Carrieres de Lumiere, an underground art, picture, and sound show set in some ancient quarries.
In the afternoon, you might have lunch and take a stroll around Avignon. "Avignon Captivity" or "Avignon Babylon" refers to the time period between 1309 and 1377, when this town was the papal capital. Rather than residing in Rome, the city was home to many popes throughout that time. One significant historical landmark that stands as a memory of this time is the Palais des Papes, often known as the Palace of the Popes.
Onwards to Lyon, where you can explore the city's historic district, which has been designated a World Heritage Site. One must-do activity is to ride the funicular up to Notre Dame de Fourviere, a massive basilica that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Afterwards, we head to the Savigny Castle, situated in the heart of this wine region. This impressive 15th-century fortress has several remarkable museums, including one dedicated to motorbikes, racing vehicles, airplanes, and helicopters.
