Tour Overview
This Brazil trip is a combination of wonderful sights and discovering the unique diversity of the largest South American country. Our round trip through Brazil starts in the beautiful Rio de Janeiro and immediately afterwards leads you south to the gigantic Iguazu waterfalls, followed by a lodge stay in the Pantanal. The species-rich wetland is under nature protection and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. Since then, the area has become a flagship for Brazilian ecotourism. For nature lovers, a Brazil trip to the Pantanal is inevitable. Best time to visit: March-October

This granite block, which is now a symbol of Rio, was called "pau-nh-acuga" by the natives, which means high, pointed mountain. This became "Pão de Açúcar" in Portuguese, meaning carrot.
