Passed down from father to son, Sport Hotel Enrosadira is a three-star hotel in the village of Campitello. The name – Enrosadira – is Ladin (a language spoken by roughly 30,000 in this mountainous region) for ‘those brief, fleeting moments in which the sky seems to light up and catch fire among the peaks of the Dolomites’.

Those same peaks make a beautiful backdrop for this hotel and you can enjoy lovely views from the large terrace. Elsewhere, there’s a sauna, bar, and lounge with comfortable armchairs to relax in the evenings. Wifi is available in the communal areas. There’s also a restaurant serving a mix of local and Mediterranean cuisines.

Worth knowing

WALKING IN THE WESTERN DOLOMITES

I loved this trip - perfect combination of brilliant leaders (Albert & Eric), superb hiking, spectacular scenery and great company. I chose this over the Classic Dolomites since I don't have a great head for heights but from what I saw and heard while I was there the Western Dolomites trip has the definite edge. One to put on your bucket list!

Stunning Views & Great Craic

Having completed the Camino last year, with Exodus, we decided to take on the challenge of the Dolomites and certainly weren't disappointed. The scenery was stunning, the group were great fun, the leaders really professional and the hotel was just perfect. The routes are graded 3 & 5 with 5 tending to be longer and higher ascents and descents. In truth, both have their challenges but both so rewarding. Having said that we had a varying age group and everyone was able to cope very well. The terrain can be a little rough at times so good boots and I would definitely recommend a pair of poles. The transport to access the routes (buses, cable cars and chair lifts) were very punctual and not too crowded. Be prepared to pay 76 euro. The hotel was superbly run by Stephano, Grabrielle and their staff. Evening meals went like clockwork and although they were extremely busy the staff always had a greeting and a smile. We would certainly recommend the trip ,for the hotel, the scenery and the organisation by Exodus.

Highlights of the Dolomites

This was a most outstanding trip, with excellent walks of grade 5. The scenery was magical, the Dolomites being very different to many mountain ranges I have previously walked in. The transport of both buses and ski lifts to the start points worked perfectly. It is an area I would highly recommend for its history and breathtaking ups and downs!

Fantastic 1st trip with Exodus

This was our first trip with Exodus, and first group-led holiday and we thoroughally enjoyed every minute. We had an amazing time, made some great friends and are already planning another Exodus trip next year. Every walk was amazing and each had its own unique points. A lot of us commented that we would not have attempted the walks on our own, but going with an organised group made everything simple, easy and enjoyable.

A great week of walking in the Dolomites. This is a place of stunning jagged mountain peaks and beautiful villages below.

A marvellous week in the mountains!

My dad and I have just returned from the Dolomites. We had an absolutely amazing week and I cannot rate it highly enough for keen mountain walkers. With varied walks, beautiful views, excellent guides and cheerful company from fellow hikers, it has been a very memorable week; I am so pleased that i chose this spectacular trip. Thank you to everyone for making it such a happy holiday.

classic dolomites

Overall an excellent experience, headquartered in Campitello de Fassa. Accommodations/food was very good. Hiking all fun. Great leaders. My only recommendation would be the city busses were not timely, and they were full at times; having been cut back from the summer schedule.. It would be worth a few extra $ to have private transportation in the morning to the hike/gondola site.

Amazing Dolomite Trekking

Great week of level 5 trekking with amazing views. The option of swapping to level 3 if desired was available to us at each evening's debrief which was perfect. Each trek available each day was described and we could chose each evening which group we went out with. Hotel and food was simply wonderful, fabulous hosts! Would go back again in a heartbeat.

Highlights of the Dolomites

Excellent walking experience - choice of hotel disappointing.

Highlights of Dolomites

I was worried about sharing a room with a stranger but am so glad I did. The company of 17 like minded people from all walks of life was remarkably good. I would like to go back to the Dolomites earlier in the summer when these stunning mountains could be seen in sunshine. The hotel room was comfortable and the food was excellent. I liked being able to choose between the 2 levels of walks and appreciated the care from the 2 excellent leaders.
