Starts with Hotprings and Ends with Hotsprings this luxury trekking, The Huayhuash range is 30km long and has Himalayan features and its peaks are morphologically speaking, much more hilly and have more difficult access than those form the Cordillera Blanca, aligned north to south, the main range of some twenty peaks stretches for approximately 15km. with a subsidiary range of smaller peaks stretching out to the west for approximately 15km. six of the peaks exceed 6000m. Included among them are Yerupaja 6617m, the second highest mountain in Peru behind Huascaran at 6768m, and Siula 6344m. made famous by the film Touching the Void The area is barely populated at all, with what hamlets there are being very small and generally only found below 4000m. the snowline is found at approximately 4,800m. the nearest villages are Chiquian 3400m and Cajatambo 3375m, some mining takes place in the area, so the north of the mountains there is an unsurfaced road leading up to as high as 4750m. in 2002 the Peruvian Ministery of Agriculture declared the Huayhuash mountain range a “reserved zone” and prohibited certain economic activities, including any future mining.

Breakfast at Hotel in Lima at around 5am and onboard at 6am and drive direct to North Panamerican Highway, and drive for 200km to Pativica, then start driving up the valley to Cajatambo 3376masl, lunch in a local Restaurant and continue to the pass 4300masl and continue to Viconga HOTSPRINGS, arriving at 3pm aprox and immediatelly jump at swimming pools and enjoy the Hotsprings, dinner and overnight at 4200 masl
Day 2 : Hotsprings Viconga - Cuyo Pass 5000Masl - Santa Rosa
Location: Cuyoc, Jurau, ACP Huayllapa, Cashpa Capsite

This day we’ll have moderate going-up to the highest pass in our whole trip, but the going-up will take us approximately 3 hours, so this time it will be enjoyable because the Cuyoc Mountain will be closer to us, we have reached the highest pass in our trekking the only one, after to get this pass we will go-down the Guanacpatay valley to have lunch, going-down from the pass is very dust and rocky after it, we’ll reach the beautiful field full of grass to walk; where we will have lunch, after few hours walking we’ll find our camping place in the peaceful Valley of Guanacpatay at 4150 masl

Day 3 : Santa Rosa - San Antonio Pass - Jurao Lake - Huayllapa

Departure at 8 am, start climb roughly two hours to San Antonio Pass. From this point you have a great view of the southwest Cordillera Huayhuash: looking at the mountains Sarapo, Siula Grande, Yerupaja, Carnicero, Los Juraos and Trapecio. You can also see the lakes of Jurao after to descent to Jurao Lake is all going down only. Stopping for the lunch in Jurao Lake continue to Huayllapa small isolated peasant village lies at 3700 masl, here the small Andean shops will provide us soda drinks, bears, and first house necessities. Overnight in Huyallapa 3490m, otherwise we will continue hiking up for about 3 hours to get the next camp site of Huatiac, here we will camp at 4250 masl. Dinner and overnight. (Continue to Huatiac in case group don´t visit the Siula Lake)

Day 4 : Huayllapa - Tapush Pass - Cashpapampa

This time we’ll have about 3 hours to go-up to the Tapush pass 4800masl, after to get the pass, we will walk down easy trail, we will arrive to the camp place early afternoon, here we will have plenty of time to relax its considered rest half day. From here we will feel that we are almost round the Huayhuash trekking, over night at 4417 masl

Day 5 : Cashpapampa - Yaucha Pass - Jahuacocha

After breakfast as always in the morning we’ll start our trekking moderate going-up to the Yaucha Pass 4800 masl, in two hours we’ll stay in the pass, after to rest for making pictures, we’ll continue going down along the Huacrish ravine for aprox three or four hours, and suddenly we’ll be surprised by a beautiful panoramic landscape. The Jahuacocha lake in the base of the mountains Jirishanca, Yerupaja, and Rondoy, beautiful green color lake that lies at 4066 masl camp place, from here we can enjoy the spectacular avalanches coming down from the base of the mountains Jirishanca. Next to our camp, we’ll find a typical Mountain hut for sheepherders; they welcome to us with a gentle treating just being friendly or to offer us the cool bear and soda waters. they will provide the additional information and tourists enjoy asking for the lifestyle in the mountain. Overnight in Jahuacocha at 4050 masl

energetic morning breakfast in Jahuacocha, start walking towards of the lake Jahuacocha to the op, then reah Solterococha another beatiful lake in the base of Rondoy mountain, from the lake start Hiking-Up to the high pass of Rondoy at 4850masl, wonderful views from here closer to Mountains Ninashanca - Rondoy Yerupaja and other spectacualr views, down along the Rondoy Valley and have lunch in Rondoy, and half hour relax, then continue walking along the car road up to Cuartelhuain, dinner and overnight at 4300masl.
Day 7 : Cuartelhuain - Cacanan Punta Pass 4750Masl - Jancamitucocha

In the morning after the breakfast we’ll get ready our things and at 8 am we’ll start our trek, this time it’s going to be a bit difficult because the climbing to the pass will take us about 2 or 3 hours. From the pass we’ll go down then we’ll go-up aprox one hour, we’ll have lunch in jampa, as always after our lunch, we’ll start our trekking today it is going to be easy. After 2 hours walking, we’ll reach the pass where we’ll have nice view of the mountains, we’ll walk always enjoying the white peaked mountains such as Yerupaja, Jirishanca, and Siula, we’ll get our camp place aprox at 4 or 5 pm. We’ll be surprised by a beautiful lake, keeping the mountain’s silhouettes green colored, so we will have prepared our camp place in the special place facing to the lake. we will have camped at 4150 masl
Day 8 : Janca Mitucocha - Carhuac Pass 4300Masl - Carhuacocha

At 8 am after breakfast we start our trekking, relaxed after the rest day before, after going-up aprox for one hour we’ll get easy trail even going-up but not so difficult, today is the magnificient espectacuular trekking as we will visit three different color lakes of siula, this magnificient wonderful day will take us to three lakes view point, from here enjoy the most beautiful views of the mountains and lakes, then continue to Siula Pass at 4750masl, after the pass there are scenic places to have lunch next to the Carnicero lakes, from here a few kilometers going-down we’ll arrive to our camping place, Huayhuash community 4350 masl.

After the breakfast we’ll continue our trekking. Easy going-up to the Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass. From here we’ll go-down to the camp place Viconga to have lunch, and after it, go to the hot springs 20 minutes walking down from the camp place, the others who don’t want go to the hot springs will have free afternoon and rest in the camp place. The camp place will be at 4390 masl.

Breakfast in the camp site around 6am, after enjoy at HOTSPRINGS the nice three swimming pools, get shower and use toilets and realx after tired trekking to travel lomg way to Lima, while car is arriving until 10 am, depart to cajatambo at 10am and continue all going down to Pativilca to Panamerican highway at sea level, then lunch in the recomended restaurant in Huacho, and from Huacho at 3 hours arrive to Lima around 8pm, transfer direct to Hotel in Lima.
