Just an excellent experience

08-Aug-2022

Just an excellent experience. Jens was so kind and accommodating - we decided to book this tour less than a week from departure and weren't sure if we could make it. Unable to find a decent tour after a couple of cancellation we finally reached out to Jens who made it all happen for us in such a short time. Not only Jens delivered more than what he promised, we had a great time with him as a tour guide and with our group which was small and fun. Travelling with 2 teenagers among a group of 8, we had the best time. Jens' folk tales at the end of each day was really a nice touch and highlight for our children. Food was amazing which was all hand-picked by Jens for each location. We would really recommend Fun Travels for your Iceland Experience.

So much fun!

30-Jun-2019

My husband and I just came back from a trip with Jens around Iceland. We had a small group - 6 people on the tour. (The bus would hold up to 12). The others on the tour really added to our experience! Because the group was small, we were able to see so much more. Jens was wonderful and knowledgeable about the area. (He can be quiet, but will answer any and all questions). There was definitely some walking that you can do, but they're short hikes and take you to beautiful views. You'll see glaciers, geysers, mud pots, waterfalls, lava formations and fields, and much more. Bring some sturdy, waterproof boots. Also, pack layers -waterproof short and long-sleeved clothing. Pack a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, and water bottle! The water is amazing, it's so clear and fresh. If you don't feel like taking a hike, there are always places to get nice views with shorter walks. Or, just rest a bit and take in the sights. Breakfasts were buffets where we were staying, and dinners were delicious! During the day Jens would stop along the way in a town, and guide us to some delicious places to grab lunch. Our overnight stays were pretty amazing. They were lovely little places, with accommodations/dinners/and views that will really impress you. Jens took any worries away about renting a car, directions, tickets, meals, or reservations somewhere to stay overnight. This was a great way to get to see such a magical and beautiful place, and to spend some time with some really nice people. If you're thinking that you'd like to go someplace really memorable, this is the trip and the guide for you!

A fantastic road trip

There is no better way to see Iceland. I joined Iceland Complete in 10 days. Our guide Dori was fantastic, knowledgeable and accommodating and making sure we saw everything!! Beautiful and breathtaking scenery along the coast as well highlands. Enjoyed every bit of it from volcanoes, beaches, geysers, waterfalls, hot springs and other remote gems. Good accommodation at unique places like farms, guesthouses and golf course. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and good food too. So happy to have joined this tour and made new friends. Highly recommended.

Great tour

29-Jul-2019

I took this tour with a friend and had a great experience. Jens, the owner of the company and our tour guide was excellent, providing new experiences everyday and sharing stories about Iceland. The group was small, only 8, and the van very comfortable. We saw so many amazing sites and loved Iceland. All our breakfasts and dinners were included as well. Highly recommended.

Fun Travel is great!

30-Jun-2019

My wife and i just completed a trip with Jens. We have done tours before and were disappointed with the "herding of the group". This tour was a very intimate experience. Jens was able to take us to may places that the big tours just could not even get to. We were very busy and saw a lot more than we had anticipated. Jens also made sure that the evening accomodations were special. We stayed at several small places that catered to us very nicely. Several evenings we slept with views of glaciers and volcanoes right outside the window. We also were able to experience foods we hadn't tried before. Jens made sure we got back and forth to the airport and was very attentive to all our needs. Best tour we've ever been on! Book with him!!

This tour is the opportunity to see so much in 10 days. It is designed to show all the highlights with plenty of picture stops. At the end of day the accommodation was great.

What a fantastic trip!

25-Jul-2019

I have just returned from doing this tour and didn't want to come home! One of the best holidays I've ever had. Jens was wonderful - very knowledgeable, professional and an excellent driver. Enjoyed hearing about the myths and fables of the trolls and hidden people. The landscapes were amazing - we saw waterfalls (and more waterfalls!!), glaciers, ice, volcanoes, wildlife and much more! This was a small group tour and so much more personal than one of the larger coach tours, and we were able to access areas that weren't possible with a larger bus. Accommodation and meals were excellent. A truly unforgettable holiday in a truly unforgettable country. Highly recommend this tour.

a great 10 day icelandic tor to do

14-Aug-2022

if you are contemplating doing a self drive tour and you are an old fart like me, don't do it! iceland is much bigger than you can imagine, so many sights to see, often narrow windy roads and unmade. there are masses of tourists and buses and cars all over and you would be hard pressed to really enjoy your trip getting from place to place if you drove. go with jens at fun travel instead! a decision you will never regret. jens knows iceland like the back of his hand. we saw so many wonderous sights. one of jen's virtues is that he is totally organised which is essential to fit in everything. we stayed, overall, in extremely good accommodation and every place was extremely clean. very good breakfasts were included as well as excellent dinners. jens makes sure that there are plenty of toilet stops and lunch breaks. of course, lots of walking is involved, often over difficult terrain so this would be an issue if you have mobility issues. jens is a small owner operator. his tour is highly recommended. thanks jens for a great time.

10 day complete Iceland

31-Oct-2019

The countryside of Iceland is the most beautiful I have ever seen. Picture Waterfalls cascading down the mountains every few feet. Rainbows almost everyday. House after house with waterfalls in their backyards and the ocean in their front yard. I am so glad I took the small group tour for the complete circle to see every region Iceland had to offer. Great trip!!!!
