Day 1
:
Ha Giang – Yen Minh – Dong Van (≈160km) (L/D)

7:30 AM - Start your engine as we will begin our journey from Ha Giang city to Quan Ba where we will mark our first stop to take in the great views offered by Heaven Gate and the legendary Twin Mountains. We will reach Yen Minh by noon to get some lunch before our next destination.
The afternoon will start with the visit of Lung Cam Village, a signature H’mong village, where you will see a celebrity: an old house used for the famous Vietnamese movie ‘Story of Pao’, released in 2006.
After another short drive we will reach Vuong Palace that belonged to Vuong Trinh Duc, H’Mong King who leaded 70.000 H’mong soldier to protect the border during French Colonization. The architecture of the palace is also rather unique with its influences by three cultures: Chinese, French and H’mong. At the end of daylight, we will reach to Dong Van town, check in our hotel for the night and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 2
:
Dong Van – Lung Cu – Ma Pi Leng – Du Gia (≈110km) (B/L/D)
Location: Ha Giang

Wake up with the sound of Dong Van weekly market, only hosted on Sundays. If you are lucky to be around on this day, this will be an unforgettable memory. The market it full of ethnic minorities and gives you the unique opportunity to walk through the crowd, witness the trade market of buffalos, cows or chickens, or be dazzled by the colourful booths of traditional ethnic clothes.
Escape the busy market and pursue your ride to Lung Cu, the northernmost point of the province. Then we will follow the mystery pass, Ma Le (One-eyed-ghost) area, and will learn more about the Lo Lo ethnic group, one of the smallest ethnic minorities in Vietnam, living next to the Flag tower.
After conquering the Lung Cu Tower and enjoying the many beautiful scenes, our next stop will be the Ma Pi Leng Pass, known as the ‘Horse’s Nose Bridge’ where we will use our legs to walk the paths of many ethnic people. When strolling around this H’mong pass, you can see below the tranquil river Nho Que making its way in the land. Our next and final stop for the day is Du Gia forest where you can relax at the Du Gia waterfall. Overnight at a Tay local homestay.
Day 3
:
Du Gia – Nam Dan – Ha Giang (≈120km) (B/L)
Location: Ha Giang
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
After a night in Du Gia forest, we will ride to Nam Dam village, home of the Dao people. On the way, your eyes will be able to appreciate all the beauty of golden rice fields and the presence of a French bunker in the mountains built during the 1900s. The village will be reached for lunch time in a typical Dao local house. After lunch, you will have some time to walk around the village before finishing your journey in Ha Giang city.
