You will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi for transferring to Sapa. Arrive at Sapa town at approximately 12:30 PM where you meet your local tour guide and have lunch in the local restaurant. You will commence your journey from Sapa on walk to the hill tribe villages of Lao Chai, home to the H'mong ethnic minority people. As you walk through the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, you will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. You will stop for lunch at a local house. You will then trek through terraced rice fields from Lao Chai to Ta Van Village belonging to the Giay ethnic minority community. In the village, you will have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area. You will have dinner and stay overnight in a homestay in Ta Van.

OPTIONAL – Fansipan summit by cable car
This optional tour offers a great alternative if you are limited in time and/or physically cannot trek for three days in the mountain to reach the top.
You will be able to use the longest cable car system in Asia, departing from Sapa Town to the highest mountain top of Southeast Asia, Fansipan, once known as the ‘Roof of Indochina’. The highest point of the mountain culminates at 3,143m above sea level.
The ascension by cable car takes about 30 minutes offering you on the way a stunning view of terraced rice fields as far as the eye can see.
Once arrived, you will be able to visit the temples and finish the climb by foot, just 600 stairs, or by funicular.
It is recommended to bring a jacket as the temperature drops and the wind blows at this altitude.

Sapa - Hanoi (B/L)
Location: Sapa

After breakfast, you will set out on a 3-4 hour trek that will take you along buffalo paths and trails to Giang Ta Chai Village of the Black H’mong. You can relax at the foot of the stunning waterfall and see the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam.
We then come back Sapa town for lunch at a restaurant and then have free time in the afternoon in Sapa until 15:00 when you will be driven back to back to Hanoi. You will arrive back in Hanoi at 20:30.
