Day 1 : Warm Welcome In Kathmandu Airport; Transfer To Hotel

Day Tour In Kathmandu: Kathmandu City, Swayambhunath And Patan City (B)
Location: Kathmandu
The day starts with a tour of Kathmandu City, and takes in the famous Kathmandu Durbar Square. The most famous square in the city, the Durbar Square is the Royal Palace square in the city, and is surrounded by ancient buildings from the early 16th century. The magnificent architecture, exquisite decorations, and the intensity of historical items gives a great insight into Nepali culture.
You then continue the tour with a visit to the Swayambhunath Pagoda, which is one of the oldest Buddhist sites in Nepal. Swayambhunath is a huge golden stupa festooned with prayer flags that flutter in the breeze, on a hill that overlooks the entire city. Then it is on to Patan City, the second largest city in the Kathmandu Valley area. Patan City has one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Nepal that dates back to the 12th century, and is a great place to explore the Buddhist culture of Nepal.

Day Tour In Kathmandu: Pashupatinath, Boudhanath And Bhaktapur City
Location: Kathmandu
You will also get to go further afield in Nepal, to visit the ancient Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath, one of the largest stupas in Asia, and a focal point for Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. Set on the banks of the Baghmati River, Pashupatinath is one of Nepal’s famous UNESCO sites, and the sunset over the temple roofs is spectacular.
Another great place to see is Boudhanath, located on the ancient trade route. It is a place of meditation and part of the spiritual journey around Kathmandu. With one of the largest stupas in the world, it has been the site of many Tibetan prayers over the centuries. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the last place to visit for the day, with its pagoda and shikhara temples strewn around the royal palace. The square really highlights the ancient building arts of Nepal.

Day 4 : Kathmandu To Syabrubesi (137Km, 7 Hrs)
Location: Kathmandu
Our driver will pick you up in your hotel during 9:00-9:30 am. Then we will drive to China Tibet border. While driving near Mt.Himalaya, you can see the deep gorges, snow-capped mountain on the way. We will also drive across the LuangTang National Park.
Stay overnight in village guest house in Syabrubesi
Day 5 : Syabrubesi To Kyirong (40Km, 4-5Hrs) (B)
Location: Shigatse
After breakfast, we will drive 15km to the border to enter China. You will meet our guide in China side. Then we will drive 1 hour to Kyirong (2800m) where is surrounded by lofty snow-capped mountains and dense forests. In the afternoon, you take a stroll to visit Paba Temple (2850m), a Gelugpa temple built by Tibetan King Songtsan Gambo at the proposal of his wife Nepali princess Bhrikuti. The Nepali style temple with delicate murals is only within minutes’ walk from your hotel.

Day 6 : Kyirong To Ebc To Tingri (480Km, 11 Hrs) (B)
Location: Shigatse
Today, we will first drive to pass through Peikutso lake and grassland. Then we continue to drive to Everest Base Camp and visit the world highest Monastery, the Rongbuk Monastery. On the way, you can view the splendid panoramic Himalaya Mountain Range at Gyawula Pass (5200m).
After visiting Everest Base Camp, we will drive to Tingri.

Day 7 : Tingri To Shigatse (280Km, 7 Hrs) (B)
Location: Shigatse
Today, we will drive from Tingri to Shigatse. On the way, you will visit the 5000m G318 National Highway milestone in Lhatse. After your arrival in Shigatse in the early afternoon, you will visit the seat of Panchan Lama - Tashilunpo Monastery, with its ancient statue of Jampa, the “future god”. Tashi Lhunpo is also the seat of the Panchen Lama, the second highest spiritual leader in Tibetan Buddhism. You can also see the monastery's Barley Mill, and the fields of barley around the site, and see how the barley is ground into flour to make the staple food of Tibetans, tsampa.

Day 8 : Shigatse To Lhasa Via Gyantse (375Km) (B)
Location: Lhasa
After breakfast, you will drive the short distance to Gyantse and visit the famed Pelkor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa. The monastery is the main monastery for Buddhists in Gyantse, and houses thousands of Buddhist sutras, scripts, and artifacts, as well as many paintings, which have left a deep influence on Tibetan art.
The rest of the day is spent driving back to Lhasa along the famous Sino-Nepal Friendship High-way. The road to Lhasa is 280 km long and it takes around six hours to drive. The road follows the course of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, which is the longest and largest river in Tibet. As you pass the Manak Dam Lake, you will have chance to get out and hang prayer flags on the Simila Mountain Pass, before moving on to pass the beautiful Karola Glacier, with its pristine white ice face.
The last part of the long drive takes you past the beautiful, turquoise waters of Lake Yamdrok, one of the three holy lakes in Tibetan Buddhism, and the spectacular Nyenchen Khangsar Mountain, the highest mountain near Lhasa.

Day 9 : Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, And Barkhor Street (B)
Location: Lhasa
The following day your first stop will be the world famous Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama. Sitting atop Moburi (Red Hill), the palace looks down on the town of Lhasa from its 3,750-meter vantage point. The temple dates back to the 7th century, and houses artifacts and works of art from throughout Tibetan History. The palace also has the gilded burial stupas of the past Dalai Lamas, and below ground lays the ancient meditation cave of the 33rd King of Tibet.
After some lunch, you will head downtown to Jokhang Temple, the primary seat of the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was built by the 33rd King of Tibet in 647AD, and is the spiritual center of Tibet and the holiest temple in Tibetan Buddhism. Inside sits the most precious object in the temple, a life-sized statue of Buddha Sakyamuni when he was just 12 years old. Adorned with many precious gems, this gilded statue is the most sacred object in Tibet.
Running around the temple is the famed Barkhor Street. As well as the route of the holy kora, or religious circumambulation, it is also the site of many sellers where you can buy authentic souvenirs from across the region. You can join the pilgrims on their clockwise walk around the temple.

Day 10 : Lhasa Tour - Drepung And Sera Monastery (B)
Location: Lhasa
The next morning you will leave early for a trip outside Lhasa, first to Drepung Monastery, one of the “Great Three” monasteries of the Gelugpa sect. Sitting at the foot of Gambo Utse, 5 kilometers outside Lhasa, it was founded by Jamyang Choge, one of the disciples of Tsong Khapa, in 1416. The Ganden Potrang, sited in the southwest corner of the monastery, was the former residence of the Dalai Lama, until the move to the Potala Palace.
In the afternoon, you will travel back across the city to the northern suburbs, to visit Sera Monastery, another of the Great Three monasteries. Founded in 1419, the name, Sera, means "wild rose" in Tibetan, and was named because of the roses that were in bloom on the hill behind it when it was built. The main attraction of the monastery is the colorful and animated debating of the monks, held under the trees in the debating field every afternoon. Definitely something to watch, even if you do not understand what is said.

Day 11 : Fly From Lhasa To Kathmandu/Transfer To Hotel
Location: Kathmandu
In the morning, you will take the flight from Gonggar international Airport, in Lhasa to Tribhuvan International Airport, in Kathmandu. On arrival, your guide will collect you from the airport and take you to your hotel, where you can spend the rest of the day relaxing, or take in the local sights.

Day 12 : Arrive At Paro Airport And Then Drive To The Capital City Thimpu. (1 Hour 30 Minutes Drive) (2320M/7656Ft.)

An early morning a scenic flight to Paro Airport, in a clear weather you will be amazed to see the highest peak of the world, Mt. Everest. Peregrine representative will receive you in the Airport terminal.
Afternoon visit memorial Chorten built in the memory of Lt. His Majesty the King by Royal Queen Mother, then after visit Buddha view point from where one can have panoramic view of Thimphu city. Evening visit Tashihchodzong the parliament house of the country and scroll by the King’s palace
Day 13 : Thimphu Sightseeing Tour
Location: Thimphu
Morning visit Changangkha Lhakhang, Motithang (National animal) The Takin preserve centre, later drive to Dochula pass (10,000ft) from where you can see the beautiful view of Eastern Himalayan range in the clear sunny day. After Lunch drive to Thimphu.
Day 14 : Thimphu - Paro
Location: Paro
After an early breakfast, we take a drive to beautiful city of Paro. We visit the popular Taktshang Monastery (Tiger Monastery), century old cultural icon of Bhutan. After back from Taktshang you will visit to Farmhouse to experience the traditional living styles of the Bhutanese people. The visit to museums and street markets of Paro are other attractions of this day.
Day 15 : Paro – Departure.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Up to 2 times, you do not need to pay any extra charge. Thenafter we will charge 10% tour transfer charge.

Our trips are based on twin share accommodation. Most of our trips have Single Supplements available for solo travellers who wish to have their own room. We are working with our accommodation providers to ensure that more rooms are available for those travellers who wish to room alone.

You need to get visa to visit Nepal. You can apply the visa in your home country or obtain at the airport on arrival. To obtain visa on arrival, a passport size photo is required.

Peregrine Treks and Tours allows you to make 2 free date changes, as long as the change is made at least 60 days before the start of the tour.

Transfer as credit to Future Tours
Peregrine Treks and Tours allows you to transfer existing payments to a future tour to avoid cancellation fees if you can't travel and inform peregrine treks and tours, 60 days before departure.

Low Deposit
Peregrine Treks and Tours requires a minimum deposit of 30% or the full booking value, whichever is less, with the final balance not due until 30 days before departure.

Cancellation Policy
We don't charge a cancellation fee, here is a summary of peregrine treks and tours charges.
Up to 60 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of deposit.
At 30 days before tour starts: Forfeit 50% of booking price.
