Day 1 : Welcome To Thailand - Bangkok Arrival

Day 2 : Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Lopburi – Phitsanuloke (B)
Location: Lopburi, Phra Prang Sam Yot, Bang Pa-In Palace, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Phitsanulok, San Phra Kan

Depart Bangkok in the morning for northern Thailand. The first stop is at Bang Pa In, the former summer residence of the kings of Ayutthaya built in the 18th century. There, you’ll visit the Royal Palace, the Thai Pavilion, the Chinese-style Palace Vihat Chamrun with its bushes trimmed in elephant shapes. Continue to Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which used to be the former royal Siamese capital from 1350 to 1767. See its most interesting temples. Proceed to Lopburi, and visit Phra Prang Sam Yod, a temple with three towers and impressive ornaments as well as the shrine of the Hindu Goddess Kali at the Sarn Prakarn Temple. Lunch at a local restaurant then continues on to Phitsanuloke.
Day 3 : Phitsanuloke – Sukhothai – Chiang Rai(B)

Have breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Sukhothai, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the 13th century first capital of the Thai Kingdom. Old Sukhothai is one of Asia’s most important historical sites. After visiting the temples Wat Sra Sri and Wat Sri Chum, you will continue to Sri Satchanalai, the former sister town of Sukhothai for lunch and visit some of its most interesting temples and ruins. Drive further north to Chiang Rai and check in at your hotel.
Day 4 : Chiang Rai (B)
Location: Chiang Rai, Chiang Saen District, House of Opium Museum, Mae Sai

After breakfast at the hotel, continue exploring Chiang Rai. North Thailand is well known for its exotic hill tribes and in the morning you will visit some of their villages. Drive along narrow hilly roads, enjoying spectacular views of the beautiful landscape and arrive at the villages of the Akha and Yao hill tribes. Spend some time here and then drive to Mae Sai, the northernmost town of Thailand, on the border of Burma Take lunch and then continue to the heart of the infamous “Golden Triangle“, the meeting point of the borders of Burma, Laos and Thailand. For those who would like to come even closer to the border of Burma and Laos, an optional trip by boat on the Mekong River will be on offer. Visit the old Opium House before continuing to the provincial town of Chiang Saen, which is located at the scenic borders of the Mekong River.
Day 5 : Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai (B)

Have breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mae Ka Chan, famous for its hot springs. Continue the trip through scenic hillsides and jungles to Chiang Mai, the “Rose of the North “. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before arriving at Chiang Mai. Drive to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep mountain temple, and then continue to the hotel. In the evening, a traditional ‘Kantoke’ traditional dinner is on the program. Typical Thai dishes from the northern region will be served while elegant Thai dancers are performing.
Day 6 : Chiang Mai – Elephant Sanctuary Tour (B/L)
Location: Chiang Mai, Elephant Rescue Park

Breakfast. Spend the day at an Elephant Rescue Park (join basis). Morning pick up and join the transfer to the sanctuary. Arrive at the sanctuary and get briefed on the day’s activities for your one-on-one interactions with the rescued elephants. You will get to meet them, feed them, walk with them, hug them, play with them, bath with them. Enjoy the memorable day and transfer back to your hotel in the afternoon.
