Day 1 : Rhodes Harbour

Location: Rhodes

Meals Included: Dinner

Our Rhodes cruise starts with boarding after 4:00 pm. Rhodes Harbour is a vibrant area filled with Greek tavernas, local product markets, and plenty of antique shops.
The UNESCO World Heritage-listed “Old Town” of Rhodes offers a unique scenic experience with its distinctive architecture and historic charm. Dinner and overnight stay in Rhodes New Marina.

Day 2 : Rhodes - Nanou Bay - Symi

Location: Symi

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast and the usual vessel formalities/taking fuel, we will begin to cruise towards Symi, part of the Dodecanese Island group and known as one of Greece’s most beautiful little islands. Our first stop will be Nanou Bay, where we will enjoy lots of swimming in its crystal-clear waters, surrounded by lush forests and green hills.
In the afternoon, we will cruise to Symi Port. Be sure to have your camera ready to capture wonderful images of this small, fairytale-like Greek village. You can choose to dine ashore at one of the numerous idyllic tavernas lining the marina; the local tavernas on Symi are very tempting. Overnight stay in Symi.

Day 3 : Symi - St George Bay - Panormitis/Pedi

Location: Panormitis

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Today, we leave Symi port after breakfast will head over to St. George Bay or one of the other many bays for swimming, lunch and relaxing in the beautiful waters. Later in the afternoon, we will cruise towards Panormitis, located in the southern part of Symi. Here, you can visit the Monastery of the Archangel Michael Panormitis. This Greek Orthodox Monastery, built in the early 18th century, is still inhabited by monks. It attracts visitors from around the world, and many Greeks pay yearly homage to St. Michael of Panormitis. Keep in mind, if sea conditions are not optimal, we may need to cancel our visit to Panormitis and go to Pedi instead, a traditional fishing village with some fish taverns and a combination of fine soft sand/small stone beach.

Day 4 : Symi - Akrogiali Bay - Tilos

Location: Megalo Chorio

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Leaving behind Symi, today we cruise towards the beautiful island of Tilos. Tilos is surrounded by high and rocky mountains, steep coasts, beaches with transparent waters, and caves. We will enjoy the day at Akrogiali Bay, where you can relax and take in the stunning scenery. Late afternoon, we will enter Tilos harbor. This will give you a chance to stretch your legs and walk around the charming little town. In the centre of the island, there is an abandoned village called Mikro Chorio, situated on a hilltop and reachable by taxi or bus. You can also visit Mikro Chorio in the evening to have a drink at the bar and experience its unique atmosphere.

Day 5 : Tilos - Trakhia Bay - Chalki Port

Location: Chalki

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Depending on sea conditions, we will start cruising either before or after breakfast and begin our sail towards Chalki, a perfect destination for peace and privacy, as tourism has not developed much here. With its crystal-clear beaches, we will enjoy the day at Trakhia Bay or one of the other beautiful bays. Later in the afternoon, we will cruise to Nimporio, the island’s only village and main port. The beach promenade of Nimporio is lined with charming cafeterias and taverns. Be sure to visit the local church, where there is a mass between 7:30 and 8:00 pm. After a day of exploration and relaxation, enjoy a traditional local Greek seafood dinner or meze at one of the many local taverns run by the local fishermen. Overnight stay in Chalki.

Day 6 : Chalki Port - Anthony Quinn Bay - Kallithea Beach

Location: Anthony Quinn Bay

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today, we have an early start towards Rhodes Island and the famous Anthony Quinn Bay and later on, Kallithea Beach. Breakfast will be served either on the way or upon arrival to the bay, depending on weather conditions.
The bay is named after the actor who bought this part of the island while filming “The Guns of Navarone”, a popular war movie of the early 60's. Afterwards, we cruise to Kallithea Beach, where we will spend the rest of the day. Kallithea is home to beautiful coves and beaches, perfect for swimming and relaxing. Its vibrant atmosphere and charming surroundings make it a delightful destination for our last full day and our Captain's dinner in the evening.

Day 7 : Kallithea Beach-Rhodes Port

Location: Rhodes

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Leaving Kallithea beach, we will make our way back to the New Marina in Rhodes, giving us plenty of time to explore one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the world and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
We spend the night there and sadly, the following day will be the last breakfast onboard!

Day 8 : Departure Day

Check out our Q&As

  • Do you require a visa for this holiday?

No, as a company, we do not require a visa for your sailing trip with us. We do however, strongly advise you take a look at your country's travel restrictions towards Greece (if any apply) and adhere to those regulations accordingly and in due time PRIOR to your arrival/commencement of your trip!

  • What is the onboard accommodation standard?

All our onboard cabins and lounges are equivelant to 3-star accommodation facilities.

  • When is the actual disembarkation?

All our cruises end on Saturdays, a week after the embarkation, at 09:00.

  • Can you assist with pre or post tour accommodation?

Yes we can! We will be more than happy to either book your accommodation, or provide you with a couple of accommodation suggestions. We advise you notify us in advance, to ensure availability!

  • What is the available cabin type and what do cabins include?

We do have a variety of cabins, which range from doubles to twins (lower beds-bunk beds) to triples and a few quads, depending on the operating gulet. All cabins, besides their comfortable mattresses, are ensuite with their own shower, hair dryer, wardrobe for storage, reading lights, their own individual A/C device and an electric fan! If you want to be in the same cabin with your friends, just mention it, while booking with us. We can not guarantee that you will be together, but we will make everything possible to actually do that! Please keep in mind, that we provide 1 set of fresh linen and towels, for the cruising week.

  • Is the cruise gulet air conditioned?

Yes, all of our vessels provide onboard A/C. It is active daily for 6-8 hours, depending on the needs and weather conditions. Overnight A/C is available, at an additional cost of 140€ per person for the entire week.

  • When is the check-in and departure?

Transfers are not included in this tour however, we can arrange for your arrival/departure transfers, so long as you inform us of your arrival/departures times. Additional charges apply!

  • Are children permitted to take part in the tour?

Yes, children are permitted to take part in the tour, so long as they are accompanied by an adult/parent!

  • I will be traveling alone, is there any single supplement?

Many of our guests choose to travel alone, as it follows the basic idea of our cruises. Independent individuals come alone but travel with same, like-minded people, so many in the end become life-long friends! Please know that, if you are traveling solo, we will always try to allocate you to a cabin with your same gender. On the other hand, if you desire to have your own private cabin for single use, there will be an additional charge of 75% of the total amount of one person’s price.

  • Are all entrance fees included in the price?

No, there is an additional cost passengers must pay. It is a one time, 80€ per person port fee, which passengers have to pay in cash, directly to the captain, upon their arrival at the vessel.

  • What is the tipping policy?

Tipping is optional and in the discretion of the individual.

  • Is there a limit to luggage that can be brought on the tour?

There is no luggage restriction, however we do strongly suggest all our passengers to travel lightly, prefferably with soft bags/small carry-on luggage/backpacks!

  • What currencies are required for this tour?

Greece's official currency is the Euro (€)

  • What happens if a group doesn’t make its minimum required number of passengers?

Usually our embarkations are guaranteed, though this depends on the actual cruise/product and group size.

  • What's the difference in Island hopping, between "Sail in Greece" and other mass-scale commercial ferry companies?

The difference between island hopping with us, and island hopping with any other mainstream/commercial ferry company is, mainly, the overall experience and comfort! Commercial Island hopping, would mean standing for hours in line, just to boat your ferry, traveling with other thousands of people, sometimes for many hours without truly being comfortable during the trip, absurd time schedules, as most commercial ferries have crazy embarkation/disembarkation schedules (sometimes as early, as 04:00 in the morning). Additionally, during commercial Island hopping, you won’t have any standard accommodation for that period, which means that you will be carrying your luggage everywhere you go, without the possibility of leaving them somewhere stress-free. On the other hand, traveling with us, on your own private gulet, would mean, overwhelming comfort due to the fact that you will have the same accommodation for the whole trip’s duration! Of course, plenty of storage to leave your luggage and belongings, without the fear of losing anything, as our crew never leaves the ship. This means that your belongings will be safe, throughout the week you will be traveling with us! And also, besides the cruising hours, there is no other major time restriction, so you will have plenty of time, to do whatever you want!

  • What is the fitness level required to do this tour?

Easy level, as there is no hard physical requirement. Some ladder climbing when entering/exiting the vessel for swimming purposes, when applicable!

  • Are the local guides English speaking?

Guided tours are optional. Depending on the actual demand, we can definitely acquire an English speaking guide or any other language required, depending on availability!

  • Is free Wi-Fi available onboard?

Yes it is, although it is subject to limitation, as the signal strength and connection stability depends on the actual location of the vessel.

  • Is there any free time to explore places during the tour?

Definitely! Considering that our fuel consumption is equivelant to 4 cruising hours per day, the remaining time, guests can either explore the destinations where the vessel docks at, have a lunch/dinner, go for a swim, stay on board or plan any available excursion they are interested in! Excursion options will be provided daily, throughout the tour!

  • Are flights included in this tour?

Flights are not included whatsoever. We do not book flights (pre/post cruise).

  • Money Exchange

In Greece you can exchange any foreign currency and/or traveler checks in banks and money exchange “kiosks” in Athens and in the main islands. Useful tip: remember that Greek banks open from 8:00am until 2pm and don’t reopen later. The only currency accepted in Greece is the EURO.

  • Arrival Complications?

If for any reason you are unable to join your trip as scheduled, as soon as possible please contact the emergency number below. If you need to contact us during a situation of emergency, it is best to first call either Sail in Greece Greek Office or our Sail in Greece UK Office. If for any reason you do not receive an immediate answer, please try our emergency contact number: Koulito (Country Operations Manager) +30 694 4429002 (24/7 working hours)

  • Tipping

Tipping is an optional but most of the times expected component of your tour in Greece. Tipping varies but usually can be counted as 10% of the total bill. If you have any questions regarding tipping feel free to ask your tour leader or skipper.

Beautiful holiday. TOP crew: Kosta, Tyson, Haissan and Mohammed make you feel pampered, served and revered. Our guide Alexandros made us experience Greece like locals, great! The only negative flaw is the heat in the cabin (Hemeria ship), in August the air conditioning is mandatory, but it doesn't work very well and sometimes it is really difficult to sleep.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!! I cannot stress this enough—our experience with Sail in Greece was an utter disaster. We booked the Aphrodite gulet a full year in advance, planning a special vacation for 14 people, including four small children. We arrived in Greece bursting with excitement, only to be told the day before our departure that the ship was "broken" and unavailable. What followed was a living nightmare. We were abandoned in a hotel in Athens for the entire week, with no answers, just endless, shady excuses. First, they claimed the ship was broken, then they shifted to saying it was missing papers that needed government approval, and the lies kept coming. After digging on our own, we discovered the ship had failed a security check because it lacked essential safety elements and reeked. Our kids were heartbroken, and the entire group felt utterly scammed and powerless. Sail in Greece obliterated our vacation and proved themselves to be completely unprofessional and deceitful. Aphrodite may be the goddess of love, but this experience was more like a visit from Hades himself. Do yourself a favor—avoid them at all costs. Seek a reliable and trustworthy sailing company elsewhere in Greece.

Avoid this company at any price.I am writing on behalf of 20 passengers who sailed aboard the vessel EROS, under the command of Captain Georgios Paraskevas, during our trip in Greece from August 10-17, which commenced in Corfu. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several significant technical difficulties that severely impacted our journey. Firstly, we encountered a malfunction with the anchor system, along with an issue beneath the vessel that led to an entire day being lost while waiting for a spare part to be replaced. Additionally, there was a persistent and strong smell of gasoline in the rooms throughout the trip, which we found to be extremely dangerous and unsettling. This issue greatly affected the comfort and safety of the passengers. The cooling system also failed to function, forcing many passengers to sleep on the deck in discomfort. Furthermore, it became apparent that the captain lacked the necessary skills to operate the vessel effectively, as it was primarily managed by the Egyptian crew, who appeared to be guiding the captain in performing essential tasks. This was both obvious and quite alarming to all on board. Additionally, several other issues arose during the trip that were not mentioned in our initial email. These include: Persistent and significant flooding of the bathroom floors and leakage of the sewage water making the bathroom usage difficult, exposing us to potential waterborne diseases and extremely unpleasant smell in the cabins and throughout the hallway. A near collision with another sailing boat Collisions with boat during passenger transfers to the beach ( AntiPaxos) An incident at Lefkada beach, where a lifeguard called the police to protest our boat’s disembarkation (Lefkada) Frequent turn offs of the air conditioning along with gas infused fumes and extremely unpleasant sewage smells were forcing passengers to sleep on the deck outside. Even the ships that were docked alongside our ship were complaining about our exhaust fumes (Nidri). In summary, we are relieved that the trip concluded without any serious incidents, but we remain concerned about the overall safety and operation of the vessel. Management of the company is refusing to offer any compensation !

Avoid Sail in Greece at all costs! Our family booked the Aphrodite gulet a year in advance, only to be told the day before that the ship was "broken" and unavailable. We were stuck in a hotel in Athens for a week, fed endless excuses. We later found out the ship failed a security check for missing safety features and was unsafe. Our kids were devastated, and our vacation was ruined. To make matters worse, they blocked our comments from several websites to hide the truth. This company is completely untrustworthy—look elsewhere!

MAJOR SCAMMERS Our experience with Sail in Greece was nothing short of a disaster. We booked a boat with them a year in advance, planning a special trip for 14 people, including four young children. We arrived in Greece full of excitement, only to be told the day before our departure that the ship was "broken" and unavailable. What followed was a week of frustration, anger, and heartbreak. Instead of sailing through the beautiful Greek islands, we were stuck in a simple hotel in Athens, with no activities planned and no answers from the company. The kids were devastated, crying, and asking why their dream vacation was ruined. The excuses we received were shady and inconsistent, and we never got a clear explanation of what actually happened to the boat. It felt like a cruel scam, where our money and hopes were taken without any regard for the impact on our lives. Sail in Greece is not a company you can trust. They ruined our vacation, left us stranded, and showed a complete lack of professionalism or compassion. Spare yourself the stress, disappointment, and heartbreak – choose a more reliable and honest company for your sailing adventure in Greece.
