What to wear when I travel to Egypt?
Clothing: Egypt's climate is dry all year round, so you won't require rainwear unless you are going to Alexandria between December and February. In spring and autumn, a combination of both is advisable for the warm days and cool nights, so pack accordingly. Swimsuits are absolutely fine for the swimming pools and beaches On days that you visit Holy sites (mosques and churches), you preferably wear slacks, long skirts and long sleeves. If not, they provide in the mosques something long to wear to enter the mosques Strong and comfortable closed-toe shoes are wise choices to keep your feet from sand, dust, or mud. Sandals are not good options, except for beach areas.

It is therefore possible to apply for an Egyptian visa on arrival at the border control for the countries that take the visa upon arrival However, it is strongly advised against crossing the land border as information on checkpoints that issue visas on arrival is not always up to date.
