Day 1 : Arrival In Chiclayo And City Tour

Upon your arrival in the city of Chiclayo, our driver will pick you up from the airport or bus station to take you to the hotel located in the city center. Later in the afternoon, we will begin this interesting tour by visiting the Paseo de las Musas, a place for unforgettable family moments and to enjoy a nice stroll. This urban park, built between 1994 and 1995, hosts various squares surrounded by beautiful gardens and flowers, as well as sculptures of 9 muses from Greek mythology made by the sculptor Miguel Ángel Díaz Dávila. The tour in Chiclayo continues until we reach the Main Park since it does not have a Plaza de Armas because it was not a battle site. Here you will have panoramic views of shopping centers, the old cinema, as well as the impressive Cathedral. The Cathedral of Chiclayo, or Santa María Cathedral, began its construction in 1869 and ended in 1939 due to lack of funds. The design is by Gustavo Eiffel and is in neoclassical style. We will continue the tour to the Municipal Palace. This historical monument from the republican era features temporary photography exhibitions in its beautiful halls. We will conclude the excursion by visiting the Witchcraft Market of Chiclayo, where you can find everything, including products related to witchcraft, as shamanism is widely practiced in Peru to heal illnesses, lovesickness, the evil eye, bindings, etc. You will have time to stroll through this curious place, and then we will take you back to the hotel.
