Although Madeira is a small Portuguese island, located in the Atlantic Ocean between the Canaries and Portugal, it offers endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. From the enticing waters of the Atlantic Ocean, dramatic cliff faces and unique flora and fauna that can only be found on the island. With the help of an expert local guide, we’ll explore Madeira’s highlights and hike through its diverse scenery. From taking in the spectacular views from the top of Pico Ruivo, the highest point in Madeira, to hiking along levadas, there is plenty to see and discover in this spectacular landscape. We'll also have a free day to explore Madeira's capital of Funchal; visit the Botanic Gardens, go Dolphin watching or take the exhilarating toboggan ride on a traditional wicker sledge! Uncover the natural highlights of Madeira by foot on this unforgettable walking holiday in Portugal. This trip will offer moderate routes on four walking days with a choice between challenging and leisurely on one day. The average daily walking distance on moderate walks is between 10km – 13km, with a maximum daily walking duration of up to 5 hours.

Cancellation Policy
We don't charge a cancellation fee, here is a summary of td active holidays charges.
Up to 70 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of deposit.
At 69 days before tour starts: Forfeit 40% of booking price.
At 42 days before tour starts: Forfeit 50% of booking price.
At 28 days before tour starts: Forfeit 80% of booking price.
At 7 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of booking price.
