Day 2 : Bogotá / Caño Cristales
Location: La Macarena

Transfer to Bogotá airport and flight to Caño Cristales (La Macarena).
Arrival and reception at La Macarena airport.
Cormacarena National Park and presentation of the Sierra de La Macarena National Park.
Then, collect your luggage and stop at the La Manigua Lodge office to fill your water bottles and prepare for the hike. Transfer to the Guayabero River to board a wooden canoe with your suitcases for the first visit of the trip: Caño Cristalitos. 20-minute navigation upstream along the Guayabero River observing wildlife on the banks of the river until we reach the farm where we will begin the walk. A 25-minute climb to reach El Mirador with an exceptional view of the mountains where the guide will introduce you to the ecosystems of La Macarena and the history of the town.

Then walk 45 minutes to Caño Cristalitos, where you can swim and discover the Macarenia . clavier, famous plant that gives Caño Cristales its colors. 45-minute return walk to Guayabero to find our canoes and 15-minute transfer to La Manigua Lodge.
Check -in and La Manigua Lodge and relaxing afternoon with the possibility of monkey sightings from the cabins or the hotel bar.

Day 3 : Caño Cristales
Location: La Macarena

Breakfast at the Logde
The departure time will be assigned by Cormacarena and the National Parks (between 7 and 9 a.m.).
15-minute canoe transfer along the Guayabero River and then a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle tour in the Sierra de La Macarena National Park (40 minutes).
Arrival at the National Parks visitor center and then walk for 30 minutes until you reach Caño Cristales. We will spend between 5 am and 7 am in the National Park between walks, lunch and swimming in natural water pools.
Return to La Manigua Lodge, in the afternoon we will enjoy the serenade in the river, an unforgettable cultural activity specific to La Manigua.

Day 4 : Caño Cristales / Bogotá (= Day 1 Of The Main Program)

The departure time will be assigned by Cormacarena and the National Parks (between 7 and 9 am).
Departure by canoe to make the most of the time in the Caño. The suitcases will remain in the canoe until La Macarena, which we will meet at the end of the walk at the La Manigua office.
15-minute canoe transfer down the Guayabero River and then tour in a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle in the Sierra de La Macarena National Park (40 min)
Arrival at the National Parks reception center and another 30-minute walk until you reach Caño Cristales. Exploration of the lower basin of Caño Cristales that enters the jungle and where the plants acquire an intense green color, offering a completely different image than the one we saw the day before.
After finishing the walk, we will return to La Macarena, where we will find our suitcases to take a shower.
Lunch (included) later Transfer to the airport and flight to Bogotá.

Day 5 : Bogotá: National Museum, Monserrate, Historic Center, Gold Museum

Visit to the National Museum of Colombia, where we will explore the history and culture of the country through its various exhibitions and collections. Our guide will take us on a fascinating journey through the most significant events that shaped the country.
Continue to Cerro de Monserrate, one of the highest points in Bogotá and iconic symbol of the city that offers one of the best panoramic views of Bogotá.
We will go to La Candelaria, the historic center of Bogotá. We will walk through its cobblestone and colonial streets while our guide immerses us in the history and important events that occurred in this region.

When and how will I receive the travel documents (vouchers)?

The majority of our tours are confirmed at the time of booking. Low Deposit
Today Voyages requires a minimum deposit of 30% or the full booking value, whichever is less, with the final balance not due until 30 days before departure.

We don't charge a cancellation fee, here is a summary of today voyages charges.
Up to 60 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of deposit.
At 30 days before tour starts: Forfeit 50% of booking price.
At 15 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of booking price.
