Day 3 : Amazon: Local Activities

We depart by motor boat to the Saladero de Loros in the Yasuní Biosphere Reserve. During the tour, you will be able to observe different species of parrots. Then, walk along the Periquito Trail to observe up to 5 species of parrots, parakeets and macaws in the clay lick. The place also attracts mammals such as monkeys and jaguars. The morning ends with a visit to the Kury Muyu Intercultural Interpretation Center, run by women from the community, where you will learn about Kichwa culture and purchase crafts.

After lunch, enjoy a boat ride along the Añangu stream to spot wildlife. In the afternoon, board a catamaran on the Napo River to learn about the legends and traditional songs of the Kichwa community, while enjoying wood-grilled snacks.

Start the day enjoying the sunrise during breakfast and visit sustainable community projects to learn about the Kichwa worldview. Day 5 : Amazon: Transfer To Coca Airport Flight To Quito.

To end your stay on a perfect day, you can participate in the wayusada ritual early at 4:30 am, where Kichwa families share the sacred wuayusa, transmitting their ancestral knowledge. You will learn about traditional songs and, optionally, you will be able to realize your dreams with a mamakuna. Then we will return for breakfast before the transfer back to El Coca in comfortable motorized canoes, again enjoying the landscape of the Ecuadorian jungle.

When and how will I receive the travel documents (vouchers)?
If you book one of our Group or Private tours, you will receive your travel documents via email approximately 20 days prior to travel date. If you reserve one of our Vacation Rentals, you will hear back from the property manager via email a few days prior to checking-in. What happens after I book?
The majority of our tours are confirmed at the time of booking. This means that, after submitting the payment online, you will receive an order confirmation email; make sure to save this email and to note down your confirmation number for any future communication with us. Some tours may be sold on a 'on request' basis. This means that for these tours we reserve the right to check the availability of your spot(s) with the Tour Operator before confirming the tour to you. As soon as you submit the payment online for a 'on request' tour you will receive an email notification that confirms your order request.
