Day 1 : Kuala Lumpur Arrival (D)

Arrival and welcome to Malaysia, a country of extraordinary contrasts ranging from sophisticated bustling cities to the wild jungles of Borneo with its orangutans, monkeys and remote tribes.

On arrival you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Before dinner, you will have a briefing with your Tour Manager and then enjoy a welcome dinner at 6.30pm.

Day 2 : Kuala Lumpur City Tour (B,L)

The day begins with a tour of Kuala Lumpur.



Visit the imposing six-tiered Thean Hou Temple, one of the largest Chinese temples in Southeast Asia. View the beautiful architecture of the Houses of Parliament en route to the National Monument, a striking statue that commemorates heroes of the country’s struggle for freedom.



Driving past the uniquely designed railway station, arrive at majestic Merdeka Square (Independence Square) the famous stretch of green where independence was declared in 1957. Next, on to the Jamek Mosque, the oldest in the city with its graceful arches and domes reminiscent of fine Moorish architecture. At the astonishing KL Tower, ascend to the observation deck for an astounding panoramic view from this 7th tallest freestanding tower in the world.



Transfer back to your hotel at 4.30 pm, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 : Kuala Lumpur To Kuching, Cruise The Sarawak River (B,D)

In the morning, take a short flight to Kuching, the capital of Sarawak. After check in your hotel, enjoy your free time to explore the stylish and sophisticated town of Kuching.



Later, join a sunset cruise on the Sarawak River and admire the affluent mansions typical of Kuching. Enjoy the backdrop of a setting sun and the colorful lights along the waterfront before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4 : Walking Tour In Kuching (B)

In the morning, embark on a walking tour in this historic capital. Starting from Chinatown, view the famous Cat Statue before heading to the colorful Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple on the waterfront promenade. After, continue to the Chinese Historical Museum, Textile Museum, Masjid India, Gambier Street, the Brooke Dockyard and St. Thomas Cathedral at Merdeka Square.

Day 5 : Travel To Batang Ai (B,L,D)

Today, we drive through the beautiful countryside dotted with quaint little towns, villages, paddy fields and palm plantations. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en-route, before continuing to Hydro Lake where you embark on a boat at the Lubok Antu jetty. Take a boat trip to the remote resort on the edge of glorious Batang Ai National Park.

Day 6 : Batang Ai Longboat Excursion, Return To Kuching (B,L)

A short journey in a traditional motorized native longboat takes you to the Mengkak Longhouse, set in a hillside wilderness beside the river. Here, you will be welcomed by a cultural performance by the villagers, then learn more about Borneo’s native Iban people and their community. There will be time to view the unusual handicrafts and meet with the villagers that were once considered a strong tribe notorious for their culture of headhunting.



After lunch, return to Kuching arriving in the late afternoon.

Today, take an early flight from Kuching to Mulu. On arrival, drive to a fascinating resort at the edge of the tropical rainforest where you’re warmly welcomed with a delectable lunch.



After time to relax, enjoy an excursion to majestic Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an extraordinary collection of rare birds, diverse wildlife, and exotic plants. Walk into the magnificent rainforest, with its gorgeous foliage and rushing streams that leads to the ancient Deer & Lang Caves. The caves are home to many species of bats – you may witness the spectacular sight of free-tailed bats emerging from the cave in search of food!

Day 8 : Wind Caves, Clearwater Cave (B,L,D)

A cruise on the Melinau River by longboat whisks you to the famous Wind Caves. Upon entering, you’ll marvel at the spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, flow rocks and rock corals, some of which are illuminated in the “King’s Room”. Then, a stop at the semi-nomadic Penan Settlement before arriving at the amazing Clearwater Cave with its raised plank walk that flanks the limestone cliffs. Perhaps opt to swim in the crystal-clear waters!



After a picnic lunch, return to the resort. Relax this afternoon at the resort before dinner together.

Day 9 : Coastal Sandakan (B,D)

Take a short flight to Sandakan. The rest of the day is on your own to explore this bustling coastal town that overlooks the Sulu Sea.

Day 10 : Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre & Sun Bear Conservation Centre (B,L)

In the morning, we will visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre where you’ll see Orangutans and learn about extraordinary efforts to rehabilitate these orphaned and injured animals so they can be returned to the wild. On to the nearby Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre to view the world’s smallest bear and learn about conservation efforts to protect them.



After lunch, visit the Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary in Labuk Bay where over four hundred acres of mangrove forest are preserved for the resident monkeys.

Day 11 : Flight To Kota Kinabalu - Malaysian Dinner & Show (B,L,D)

I was SOOOO fortunate to pick Tweet World Travel to organise my Vietnam holiday last October . I travelled with my wife and 5 friends for three weeks taking in Ho Chi Minh city , Hoi An , Da Nang , Hue and Hanoi/Halong Bay. The trip was just so well prepared , with private transport and English speaking guides for the whole trip . So many excursions ( all paid for ) included in the holiday . we saw so many wonderful historic places , stayed in beautiful hotels and had some fantastic meals in great restaurants all over Vietnam. We saw so much more because Twee prepared the whole trip for us. We would have missed so much otherwise. All in the very best holiday ever..Frank O'Reilly. ...

We have just had 3 wonderful weeks in Vietnam, visiting Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang/Hoi An, Hanoi, SaPa & Halong Bay & can highly recommend Tweet World Travel. We had already booked some accommodation ourselves at a beachside resort but wanted to extend our holiday to travel around & see more of Vietnam. Twee did a fantastic job at organising our itinerary around what we had already booked & suggested activities & sightseeing trips to us that we had not considered. We certainly enjoyed all the activities & experienced much more than if we had tried to organise it ourselves. It was also very reassuring to know that I could easily contact Twee if I needed advice on anything at all while we were away. The guides on all our day trips were fantastic - very friendly & looked after us all very well. They were all happy to share information about their lives with us which made the trip more memorable & enjoyable with some unique experiences. Highlights of our trip were Hoi An (especially the Hoi An Food Tour - lots of fun, on the back of motorbikes), SaPa (especially sightseeing by motor bike, although wouldn't recommend the noisy train trip to get there), Cycling around villages in the Mekong Delta (away from tourist areas), Halong Bay cruise & the gorgeous Apricot Hotel.
