We will make an early start to catch the Shinkansen to Takayama, allowing you to witness the breathtaking Japanese Alps from the train window.Upon arrival, we will visit a traditional Hida folk village, providing an insight into mountain life in the past.You will then spend the night at a traditional ryokan, complete with tatami mat floors and sliding doors reminiscent of The Last Samurai.

Enjoy some leisure time to explore Takayama before departing for Hiroshima.Take a train to Hiroshima and check into your hotel upon arrival.

Begin the day with a half-day tour of Hiroshima, followed by a train journey to Osaka.Visit the unique Itsukushima Shrine, which appears to be floating in the sea, showcasing the solemn and stunning architectural beauty of the Shinden style, a palace style popular in the 10th century.After spending the day at Miyajima, take the Shinkansen from Hiroshima to Osaka, covering 342 km (213 miles) in under 1½ hours.Upon arrival, a meet-and-greet assistant will escort you to your Osaka hotel via private transportation. The day will commence with a train ride from Osaka to Kyoto, where you will have the opportunity to explore the city.You will visit the Fushimi Inari Shrine, which was featured in the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha" and boasts over 10,000 red torii gates forming a path up the mountain behind the temple.Additionally, you will get to enter the Sanju-Sangendo temple, located in eastern Kyoto, renowned for its 1,001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy.

During day 10, you will embark on a unique day tour of Kyoto's classic cultural treasures, where you will delve into Japan's rich history.The tour will commence at the Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion, which is adorned with glittering gold leaf.You will then proceed to the Nijo Castle, one of the country's most famous and ornate castles, where you will hear the distinctive 'chirping' floors designed as an additional security measure.You will also have the opportunity to admire the Heian Shrine's beautiful structure, featuring bright vermillion columns and complimentary jade tiled roofs.Lastly, you will visit the Pure Water Temple, where you can take a sip from one of the three streams of fresh mountain water, believed to grant fortune in love, luck in studies, or elongate your life.

Your day will begin with a brief train ride to Nara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, accompanied by your private guide.You will commence your adventure in this historic area by visiting the Todaiji Temple, the world's largest wooden building, which is sure to leave you in awe.You will then proceed to visit Nara's most celebrated shrine, the Kasuga Taisha, renowned for its bright and beautiful appearance, established in 768 AD.Before returning to Kyoto, you will take a stroll through Nara Park, also known as Deer Park, where you may have the opportunity to encounter wild deer up close.
