Unu Raymi Tour Operator & Lodges is the best. They planned our amazing trip to Peru- Edwin our guide- and Jesus our driver. ALONE IN THE BEAUTIFUL RAINY WILDERNESS ... WITH A WONDERFUL TEAM FOR 5 DAYS Wow! Woohoo! The trip was truly amazing. I can recommend it if you like staying outside! Believe me. I took a private tour with a team of 4 people (guide, nurse, rider, and cook). They cared a lot about me. The guide was very flexible, so we were able to spontaneously add the rainbow mountain to our tour (we arrived before the tourists so we could create perfect photos). The guide (Edu) was an excellent storyteller. I took the time to explain many things about the Inkas (including the drawings in the sand for a better understanding). At the campsites and while eating, the cook and the rider were with us (and did an amazing job). The cook (Theo) was an amazing chef. Each meal was created with fizz and consisted of three courses. All the meals were ""very very very delicious"" (yes, really delicious)! We ate soup, dessert, lasagna, pasta, banana cake, pancakes, fish, and much more (yes, everything was created on fire! Crazy, right?) Of course, also the rider (Wilfredo) was a nice person. You see, the team was great. And also, the landscape. We were there during the rainy season (in February). We had various weather (sun, rain, hail, snow) several times a day. No problem if you have a good team. And nature looks very impressive. The green is so beautiful and everywhere beautiful rivers. If I were to go again, I would also choose the rainy season. Because I think nature is much more impressive. Most of the time, there was no one else (not even the locals)—just nature. Before the tour, I contacted the tour operator (James). He was very courteous. We exchanged phone numbers and I was able to ask him all the questions I had while packing at any time and made a quick response via WhatsApp. Tip: take a water filter system. There are many rivers with water from the glacier. Finally: the tour was long, exhausting and the nights/evenings were cold. I liked. It is important that you are aware of this. There were two hot springs on the way (first and last day). According to the plan, we would only spend ca. 1 hour there on the last day. So, if you can, maybe you should do the trek in 6 days, instead of 5. Then you have more time to enjoy everything. But the most difficult thing for me was the cold weather in the evening and at night. So, I got lucky with 5 days ). So, thank you to Unu Raymi Expeditions and their wonderful employees. best michael
