Day 1 : Cusco - Pitumarca - Anantapata
Location: Cusco Cathedral, Pitumarca, Anantapata Lodge

Our adventure will start with collecting all the customers from their hotel, then we drive for about 2 hours to reach Pitumarca town, where we will have a short stop. You'll be able to buy some items that you could need on the next few days. Afterwards, we keep driving to Quesiuno village (4,380 meters), where we will meet with the rest of our trekking team (horse driver and assistance). We have a light breakfast here and start our hike, ascending a switchback path until we reach Ausangate Pass at 5,000 meters.
From here, you will appreciate the stunning lakes at the bottom of Ausangate Mountain and see how the glacier melts and creates different lakes. You will also be amazed by the imposing Apu Ausangate, which is the highest peak in Cusco. Your guide will explain the importance of this mountain and the local culture.
Then, you'll head to Anantapata, where you'll have lunch prepared by our chef. In the afternoon, we continue our hike, ascending the next pass, Warmisaya, 5,000 m.a.s.l. From here, you will be able to see Rainbow Mountain in the distance.

Day 2 : Surineqocha - Rainbow Mountain - Red Valley - Cusco
Location: Anantapata Lodge, Rainbow mountains parking, Red Valley Viewpoint

Today, in order to see the sunrise at the Rainbow Mountain, we will wake up early. At 4:00 a.m., after breakfast, we will walk towards the Rainbow Mountain, which takes 1:20 hours through the ascending path.
Once we arrive at this natural marvel, we will enjoy the wonderful sunrise and have the oconic mountain to ourselves before the large group of the day tour arrives. Your guide will explain to you the natural colors that were formed by different minerals over hundreds of years.
We will have the option to hike to the Red Valley, which seems like you are on another planet. There are incredible views that you can discover while you hike around.
Finally, we will take the path back to the lunch spot. After enjoying our meals, we board the bus and drive back to Cusco.
