Tour Overview
This 3-day tour is divided into 3 stages of 50 km. each. Day 1. We start the tour from the Bulgarian capital Sofia, climb the quiet corner and descend to Vladaya after which there is not much of a climbing (pushing) and we are going out to the water intake reservoir. From there we have 10 kilometers of wonderful forest path to the village of Kladnitsa. From there we continue to Studena Dam and after that there is an asphalted road to the village of Bosnek. Very interesting part here is that we ride along the river Struma and we dig moderately to Chuiptlovo. This is our first day which you are going to enjoy a lot with our professional mountain bike guide. We spend the night in Bosnek or in a nearby village. Day 2. After breakfast we start with a descent to Yarlovo. Amazing wide meadows and views of the Rila mountains. We continue to Brezite locality and then to Zheleznitsa, Bistritsa, Simeonovo, Dragalevtsi and through Boyana we reach Sofia. The second day is easier and for moderately prepared people it can be made in 5-6 hours, for the first it is good to have 7-8 hours due to the larger displacement and the more difficult terrain. The route is surmountable for intermediate cyclists and passes through settlements easily accessible for logistics and assistance. Superb second day which you are going to love. Overnight in Bankya. Day 3. We start after breakfast with a walk in the field of Bankya, mountain biking on rural roads to Bozhurishte, Gurmazovo, from there we return to the town of Bankya and on an old paved road we reach the road to the Klisura Monastery. To the top there is not a big, but a steep climb. The route can end here or on wheels to pass through the center of Bankya. That’s the real Bulgaria! You shall meet amazing people and characters in the villages typical for this region of the country. All logistics are done with VW T5 (transporter) or Toyota Hilux. Maximum number of people in a group - 4.

This is the ride you need to book without a second look.
I had the absolute BEST time with Velco and new farm friends. This was truly the highlight of the work trip I came a few days early for. I really felt like I got to experience the heart and soul of Bulgaria in just this one day.
I was lucky enough to go the day after it had been snowing for a while, and I've never seen anything more beautiful. I felt like a wildling beyond the wall. The ride really is tailored to your abilities and preferences, as the mountain offers many routes both on and off path. I asked for the wildest experience they had and I sure got it. We traversed through thick brush, galloped throw snow, navigated across streams and bridges for 4 hours. I like to go on trail rides and lessons everywhere I travel, and this was one of the first times I actually got help with my form and had long enough stretches to practice.
To top it off, some of the best time my whole trip just breaking bread with the crew and feeling welcomed to their table and near their hearth with raspberry wine and home grown Bulgarian delicacies.
Everything from pickup to dropoff was handled with such joy and ease. I can't wait to go back for an even longer ride. I already know I'd have the best company.

This is a definite MUST if you want to experience the beauty of Vitosha mountain as well as experience horse riding in the wild. They took exception care of me during the entire ride. The horses are so good. Happy and fit! They know their job and look after you. I was lucky enough to experience the ride in snow all the way up and back down the mountain. A dream come true for me. If I ever get the opportunity to visit Bulgaria again this would be my first stop to ride and say hi to Vento - the horse I got to ride. This experience was a real childhood dream come true for me.

We booked with this company the "Varna Gourmet Tour with Superb Wine Tasting".
This tour was a guided city tour ending in a wine bar, where you got some apeticer, small wine tasting, and a dessert
We had no gourmet tour as it was telling in the website, just starters (no gourmet under my opinion), desert, and wine was good.
It was not even close to what described on the website, but I got explained that they had to change the restaurant for some reason. After I informed abot the issue, I got a local food tasting in another place. Now, it seems that the description of the tour has been corrected on the website.
From my point of view it is overpriced for what you get.
