Despite the last minute booking, everything went smoothly from start to end. A friend did the EBC trekk recently (October 2023) and Ace came highly recommended. We finally chose the luxury trip to elevate our experience. (Best decision! 😬) Starting from the website, everything is well explained in great detail, leaving me little room for redundant questions. I’ve been previously asking another operator, but information is too general & vague, raising so many unanswered questions. Booking procedures were also straightforward, with a few questions here and there being nicely accommodated by Ace. All services promised were delivered, from pick up, hotel transfers etc. We’re also delighted with the hotel chosen, loved Ramada’s breakfast, rooms were clean & spacious bathrooms. Came the actual trek, our guide Madan & porter Jit, also came highly recommended by a friend. Great recommendation, indeed! Madan’s leadership on this trek has delivered us a fun, relaxing, yet safe and secure experience! His extensive experience & knowledge on Himalayan treks made us feel always at ease that we’re in good hands. Always briefing us on details about what’s coming during the trek, food & drinks suggestion, constantly being attentive to our needs. When my husband started showing high altitude symptoms, Madan had always give the right suggestions on what to take or do, giving us the assurance that we can make this trek. Jit our porter also displayed a well behaved professional manner, our belongins are always ontime & safely landed in the next guesthouse. And if we need to get some stuff in the middle of the trek, he would be happily waited for us and let us unpack to take what we need. Thank you, Madan & Jit! Briefings were always done by Prem himself, showing us a great deal of responsibility & sense of belonging to the business and customer’s satisfaction. What I appreciated even more, there was even a post-trek evaluation meeting, ending it eith a nice farewell dinner. My journey to Everest Base Camp with Ace the Himalaya was nothing short of extraordinary. Standing at Everest Base Camp, surrounded by towering peaks and fluttering prayer flags, I felt a profound sense of accomplishment and gratitude. Ace the Himalaya 14 day Everest Base Camp Trek I can’t say enough good things about Ace the Himalaya. Prem and Sujan in the office helpfully answered our pre-trek questions promptly. Met at airport by our guide, Raj, with marigold leis. From start to finish, Raj was there with guidance and support. Supposed to start our trek on 3/3, but flight to Lukla cancelled due to bad weather (not uncommon). It was third day in a row of flight cancellations, so lots of people stuck in Kathmandu or Manthali- where many had opted to go to get Lukla flights. Raj explained our options: our group decided to book helicopter for next day (cost split 5 ways), and took helicopter to Lukla- amazing views of mountains and hills on way to Lukla. Later found out this was good decision as some stuck in Manthali with other outfitters had to switch to other treks as not enough time to get to EBC. Started our trek. Other than a little rain on day 1 had pretty clear weather, though still cold. On Day 2 stairs to Namche nearly took me out (I’m short, and many stairs came up to my thigh), but Raj’s encouragement: “Drink, drink” and “Walk slowly, slowly” got me though (my advice if you’re short is to add more step ups to your training regimen!) Raj often checked in with us to make sure we had no symptoms of AMS and checked our O2 saturations daily. Every day we would arrive at tea house to find our bags already there by our amazing porters Naryana, Sher Bahadur and Paisal. Naryana also made delicious fruit platters for us every night and filtered water for the trek- until the filter froze in Lobuche. Teahouse accommodations become more basic the higher you go up the hill: at first, rooms with private bathroom, flush toilet become shared bathroom with bucket flush toilet and outdoor sink. This shouldn’t be surprising since Gorak Shep teahouse is at 17,027 ft, and all supplies must be carried there. Views are absolutely amazing and cannot be adequately described. Raj was extremely informative, knowing all the heights of the mountains, routes to climb, etc. He also knows everyone on the trail: he has been a guide with Ace since they started 17 years ago. Route to EBC has many amazing views: Ama Dablum-wow- and cool suspension bridges to walk over, including the double Hilary bridge. We were also able to visit Tengboche Monastery. On the base camp day, you hike from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, rest for an hour and then go to EBC at 17,598 ft. Climbing moraine to Gorak Shep wiped me out: Raj was so helpful carrying my pack and helping to find the best route over the large boulders (he did the same thing the next day on the way back). Just took my phone, poles and snickers bar to EBC (my husband carried water), and it was still difficult, but I made it! Beautiful bowl surrounded by mountains Pumo Ri, Lingtren, Khumbutse, Lho La and the wall of Nuptse with the top of Everest and the South Col just behind it. Great views of Khumbu Icefall and Khumbu Glacier: you walk across glacier to get to EBC. Many photos and then back to Gorak Shep for a well-deserved rest. On the way back my husband and I decided the last 2 days of the trek might be a little much for us: Raj got helicopter for us (shared) and even got us on a flight to Lukla the same day! As a final example of the awesome individual attention given by Ace, my husband’s 60th birthday was during our trek. Raj bought a cake from Cafe 4410 in Dingboche (if you’re ever in Dingboche, go there), our porters secretly carried it to Lobuche, and they surprised my husband (and me) with an impromptu birthday party! Yes, Raj planned a birthday party at 16,503 ft! If you’re going to trek to EBC, go with Ace the Himalaya!

We had an incredible time on our 14 day trek to Everest Base camp all thanks to our amazing guide Sunil Ghale & porter Arjun Lama! Not only were they both super friendly, kind & fun to hang out with but we also learned so much from them about the area & Nepali culture. Sunil Ghale took such great care of us - always making sure we were prepared, getting what we needed & making sure that we were being safe in terms of altitude. He’s such a fun person to hang out with & after this trek we consider him a friend! 100% recommendations requesting him for your trek!! Arjun Lama always has a smile on his face despite carrying over 30kg of our things on the same intense 14 day trek that we did with light day bags! He’s super friendly & knowledgeable about the area & we had a great time spending time with him & learning from him! 100% recommend requesting him for your trip - as a soon to be guide!

I trekked with ACE to Everest Basecamp in October/November 2023 and it was definitely worth it! Spectacular views and a once in a lifetime experience. A big credit and thanks for the amazing familiar atmosphere and the experience on the trek itself has to be given to our three expert guides and the porters. Pasang as lead guide handled all of our problems in a nice and calm way, with great humor, and professionalism. Our assistant guides Sauman with his bright personality, and Birkaji are equally great and the trio complimented each other well. Our porters were also amazing, especially Lhakpa, Gopal and Hira! Overall, it really felt like everyone at ACE made sure that we got the best experience and had an incredible time on this stunning trek. I will definitely trek with ACE again next time!

This trek is one of the must do - bucket list - once in a lifetime items that everyone needs to do at some stage. The team from ACE really do make it easier and help you all the way. From the booking team to the Guides & porters on the tour. My Guide was Nimesh who was excellent - and with Porters Birkaji and Dil they really made it enjoyable for us all. Wow! What a beautiful adventure with our guide, Madan, as we trekked to Annapurna Base Camp. Madan was so friendly and accommodating and we were so lucky to have him as our guide. Because it was only our small group of 4, he let us push further than usual each day to give us more time at Base Camp. Madan not only paved our path, but made sure that we were comfortable every step of the way. His kindness even extended beyond his duties on his day off when I ended up in the hospital in Kathmandu and he stayed with me there all day. Ace the Himalayas (more specifically, Sajiya) checked on me each day, which just goes to show the added love of this company. When we return, we will 100% choose Ace the Himalayas again! This was a once in a lifetime trek to Gokyo and Everest Base Camp and thanks to Ace the Himalayas it was everything and more than I expected. With the help of our guide Kishore Neupane who helped us with everything. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful and our porter Chabbi was exceptional, he was like a machine. Infact that's what we called him Chabbi the machine. When I'm ready for another trek, it will definitely be with Ace the Himalayas again, everything is spot on to detail. My daughter and myself completed 19 day Annapurna Circuit in April 2024. What a wonderful experience it was. The mountain scenery, the many teahouses and villages along the way. The Nepalese people were always friendly and warm and welcomed us in every village. Ace the Himalaya were a professional company and well organised with accompanied bag neck scarf and prepared us for all our needs. Our guide Raj and Porter Bishal were nothing but amazing. They went the extra mile always. Raj has a wealth of knowledge of the trek, walking in altitude, medical conditions and has a wonderful personalty, always happy friendly and reassuring. Nothing is a problem. Even practiced healing and we meditated together that was a bonus. Bishal was a sweet kind and caring young man that looked out for our for us both offering every night cut up apple slices in an artistic flair. Both men always looked out for our safety and we were very reassured with their presence. I have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful company and their amazing employees.

EBC trip successfully complete. An amazing achievement, made possibe by Ace the Himalayas, bravo. Incredibly big shout out to the amazing guide, Nimesh, and the two porters, Birkaji and Gopal. Nimesh was a breath of fresh air from start to finish, very knowledgeable and was more than willing at any time to answer questions, impart his knowledge and cater for our needs on the trek. His English was great and his personality and passion for his job was admirable. Birkaji and Gopal were our wonderful porters, who carried the majority of our belongings from stop to stop, but their work didn’t stop there, they waited on us three times a day, dropped our bags in our rooms and provided a responsive service always with a smile. Birkaji even supported us on the acclimatisation hikes and EBC hike. Really nice guys. Top work. The trek itself is truly mesmerising, the landscape is constantly changing as you ascend to EBC. The acclimatisation days are well structured and allow time for your body to adjust whilst enjoying what the wonderful route has to offer. I would fully recommend this to anyone that is after a refreshing challenge, the sense of accomplishment after each day created for a magical and memorable journey from starting at Kathmandu and touching back down from Lukla to Kathmandu 12 days later. Prepare for it to be cold in a morning and on an evening, but the warmth you get from the day sunshine during December creates for great walking conditions. The accommodation at the different stops was above our expectations considering the nature of the experience, and the food was ample and quality, perfect to ensure you’re fuelled up for the hikes ahead. Put a request in for Nimesh, Birkaji and Gopal, you won’t be disappointed.

It has been a dream of mine for some time to reach Everest Base Camp and it wouldn’t have been possible without the Ace The Himalaya Team. Sunil is an excellent guide. He ensured I was comfortable, physically fit and that I had an experience of a lifetime throughout the entire trek. We had a most amazing experience walking the Manaslu circuit trek, organized by ATH, at the end of the season with hardly any other tourists around, while weather conditions were amazing. The organization by Ace was great, we never had any safety or health insecurities, our guide Ram and porter Rames were always kind, attentive, helpful and competent - we wouldn’t want to have missed them! The trek is unique in its own way, as it’s really authentic, not touristy at all, so you are able to experience authentic Nepalese life and culture. In the evenings we enjoyed the wood fire with the natives, had always delicious dal bhat and fresh tea. We stayed in comfy guesthouses that had everything you need to recover at high altitudes - hot showers, good meals and cozy beds, as well as stunning glimpses of the majestic mountains. I’m really looking forward to coming back soon, and do another trek with ATH! Thank you

The tour was just amazing, stunning mountains, nature and breathtaking views all over. Our guide Milan was the best, he has so much passion about his job and patience and is very professional as well. He takes care of everyone and every needs we had. He definitely made our trek very unique. The whole organisation in general was very professional: all the staff working in the office, the porters (especially Ting Ting) and the assistant guides Hari and Santos. They did everything to give us the best experience. So grateful for this experience!

I researched a lot of tour companies that did this particular Gokyo-EBC trek before landing on Ace the Himalaya. The information they provide on their website is very clear, comprehensive and easy to navigate. But importantly, they team was super-responsive to my initial, and later, final planning inquiries. They were also pro-active in letting us know about important information we'd need such as travel insurance, completing the online view form, etc. It was a very seamless experience with the pickup / dropoffs and everything was taken care off at the hotel/s we stayed in at Kathmandu. Both our trek guide (Kumar) and porter (Ratna) were just incredible. While we started as a group of 12 tourists and 4 guides, my friend and I split up with the rest after Namche Bazaar to pursue the Gokyo - Cho La Pass - EBC route. Kumar and Ratna were with us the entire time, super-responsive to any requests or concerns we had, and did everything they could to make our trek comfortable and safe. When we went up Gokyo-Ri, Kumar suggested that i keep it light, and so offered to carry my (relatively heavier) camera along with the first aid kit as we ascended to the summit. Ratna did the same for me on the trek to EBC. Kumar set a good, comfortable pace for us the entire journey, making sure we stopped frequently to rest, even if we felt we could keep going for a little longer. At the tea houses, both he and Ratna made sure we were taken care of before they took a break for a meal and rest. They also arranged for extra pillows / blankets whenever we needed them. When i fell ill with an infection at Gorakshep, Ratna accompanied my friend up to Kala Patthar while Kumar attended to me. Working with their office, they also quickly arranged for a helicopter ride from Gorakshep to Lukla where i could see a doctor. The Ace team then quickly arranged for a heli ride back to Kathmandu from Lukla. On Friday morning we were in Gorakshep, and by Friday evening, we were back in Kathmandu! We thoroughly enjoyed our trekking experience with Ace the Himalaya, and if we plan any future trip to the region, we will definitely call on them again. The certificate and scarf were a nice touch at the end, along with the celebration dinner with the team.

Highly recommend this Trip. Perfect expedition! We booked the Everest Panorama Trek with ACE The Himalaya and we definitely will book an other trek again with this company next year. Everything was perfect organised from our Guide and Porter. Our Tourguide MILAN was so nice, friendly, polite and competently. He works long time as a guide so we felt absolutely save at all time and we learned a lot about the Himalaya, the mountains and the culture cause of his experience. We hired a Porter, this guy named TING TING was so taff and strong. He always took care of our Dufflebags and of us well, he was so much friendly and polite all time. We where lucky to did the tour with Milan and Ting Ting! We highly can receommend ACE the Himalya and especially Milan and Ting Ting. Hopefully we will meet them again. I did the three pass trek in the counter clockwise direction. All the food I had was very good and there was a lot of different options to choose from. Almost all accommodations were good apart from one, but I’m satisfied considering the remote locations. My guide, Gopal, was very accommodating and fulfilled my every request. He helped arrange my horse and also offered to carry my day bag in difficult parts of the trek. Overall I had a great experience with Ace the Himalaya and would use them again for future treks in Nepal.

The trek to Everest Base Camp was extraordinary. The mountains inspire action. Although it was a challenging journey for both myself and our group of 24, everyone successfully completed the trek with flying colors. Special recognition also goes to all the porters who tirelessly carried our luggage throughout the trek – they are the backbone of our journey.

From begining to end everything is well organized. thanks to sujan. before the trek he replied all my questions in patiance. but the best part of the trek was our guide Nimesh and our porter -Mr Smiley- Birkaji. Thank you both guys. Nimesh was with us almost in every step. Organizing, controlling, checking. If you are doing this kind of experience for the first time like me, Nimesh will be the person you will want to go with. Experienced, knowledgeable and patient. Also our porter birkaji, it doesnot matter what time it is or what he is doing, he will greet you with his wonderful smile. All the way up and down the views are amazing but , kalapathar and periche for me was the higlights of my trek. We took the helicopter on our way to lukla directly from kathmandu due to cancelation of flights from Manthali. On the way back we fly to manthali and take a tourist mini van to kathamdu. Be ready for a long journey with bad traffic and road conditions.

Trekking to Everest Base Camp had been a bucket list item of mine for a very long time, and I was fortunate enough to see it through in the past few weeks. Simply incredible. Also, I can't say enough about the staff from Ace the Himalaya. From the early communication, all of my e-mailed questions were answered within a few hours, and once we arrived in Kathmandu, everything was simply flawless. Our guide, Madan Kandel, met us at the airport in the middle of the night (1:00 AM) and ushered us off to our hotel. A day and a half later we were on a flight to Lukla, and off we went. Madan is just simply the best, organized, friendly, great at keeping us informed along the trek, and one heck of a motivator. He knew I was determined to make the early morning trek up Kala Patthar at just over 18,000 feet and kept me going that day. The views of Everest, the icefall, and the surrounding mountains were breathtaking, and were a major highlight, if not THE highlight. I can't end this review without talking about the true heroes, Jit Magar and Anil Magar. The amount of work these two put in as our porters was nothing short of incredible, and they did it with a smile on their face the entire time. From what I understand, Jit's ultimate goal is to be a guide at some point, and he was even with us on our acclimation days and the final hike to base camp (days he could have spent relaxing in town) in order to learn and take the steps toward his goal. When he reaches it, I have no doubt he's going to be outstanding. Bottom line here, I doubt you can go wrong with Ace no matter who your guide is, but if you're able to get Madan, jump at the opportunity!

Used these guys 2 book and arrange our first trip 2 Nepal. They definitely didn't disappoint. We did the less trekked Anna Pourna circuit from Nar to pho over the Kangla pass. Everything we wanted to do was custom arranged 4 us and then we got probably the best Guide ever to take us. Milan Athikari couldn't have taken care of us better. This man and his team of Sharpas Gambu,Bishal and Suresh definitely went above and beyond their call of duty. When we were not at our strongest these guys pulled ur through . We now definitely have brothers from other mothers in Nepal and because of them we WILL return to this amazing country and it friendly and humble but culturally rich people. Loved every minute thanks to Ace Himilayas staff. Milan you should be the minister of tourism the way u sell and love ur country and let us tourist see tlyour country through your eyes. U R a Lion my Nepalese brother.

We did the Everest Panorma Trek with our guide Milan and it was a great and unforgetable trip. Milan was always very friendly, knows a lot about the culture and landscape and did the best job. Also our porter Ting Ting was so courteous, really nice and helped us all the time. The company ACE the Himalaya organized everything perfectly. We will book our next trip again with ACE. We would like to see Milan and Ting Ting again. It was a funny, beautiful and unique adventure! Thank you for this wonderful trek!

What an incredible experience I had with Sunil and Raj at Ace the Himalayas. The trek was amazing and reaching Everest Base Camp was the highlight of my trip. My guides Sunil and Raj and the assistant guide, Naream were all incredible and they made sure that I was well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and they all made the trek as fun and easy as possible. Sunil and Naream always had a smile no matter how difficult the day and Raj was incredibly knowledgeable and professional in dealing with any issues that arose (ie altitude and flight delays). Incredible adventure on the Annapurna Circuit with Ace the Himalaya! AC varied with truly breathtaking scenery and interesting cultures and people - we felt it showcased a bit of everything of Nepal. Absolutely professional trekking company in Ace from our first contact with Sujan in the Kathmandu office to organizing all the finer details of our trek including allaying any concerns about high altitude trekking with 2 children (12 & 15 yrs), to meeting our wonderful guide Janardan (Janu) and our strong and skillful porter team of Dilip, Vess and Limbu Dai. Everyone was just amazing. Dilip in particular was a great friend to our son. A very special mention for our guide Janu - when he started speaking with us at our pre-trek meeting, I knew we had a winner. His knowledge of the mountains and trekking, his friendly nature, his support and his tireless efforts to make our experience safe, comfortable and of course memorable, was second to none. We sincerely regard Janu as a friend. Thank you Janu, Dilip, Vess, Limbu Dai and Ace.

What an amazing experience made even better by Ace the Himalaya. Their organisation, their guide (Chris) and their porters (Samir, Dambar, Rinji and Chhabi) really did take all the stress out of the trek. Highly recommend! Chris was a very experienced guide, very knowledgable, great story teller and funny! He also was very caring and attentive when our daughter was ill. Request him as your guide you won’t regret it!

I did the three high passes trek from March 29-April 14 with Rajkumar and he was the best guide we could have asked for. From the start when he picked me up from the airport he was full of energy even though he had just arrived the same day from another EBC trek. He was encouraging, patient, cheerful, a steady force, full of knowledge, everything that we needed to complete the three high passes trek over the course of 17 days. He was adaptive to our needs, flexible with our itinerary, to ensure we had the best possible time. I can’t think of a better person to guide us and would highly recommend anyone reading this review to request him as a guide for your next adventure. Our porters Pisal and Gobinda were also wonderful people. They did an amazing job carrying our sacks and when we needed help the most, they would help us with our packs as well. They always had a smile on their face no matter how tough the going got. Truly appreciative of them as well.
